In interior of the building is magnificient with original tile stoves, furniture and excellent art not well known. and destined to stay that way with the system in place. Bossy and unhelpful staff, and no photos of the permanent collection allowed!!! The display is dense, the labels hard to see, but the colection is worth serious study, and a good guidebook would help too.

Was surprised to find a relatively interesting colletion of art. The Rumanian gallery hosts good artists and some master works. Reccomended visit for art lovers.

The toilets are customer friendly and convenient unlike the rest of the museum and staff. Romanian art work is fantastic. Pity that it's unorganised and that the staff are rude and unhelpful.

Visited in the morning, nice collection, very big mix of stuff everywhere, but it never gets boring. The only concern was the light; you can’t see a lot of paintings properly as its too dark or it is coming from a wrong angle. Anyway, worth a visit:)

As the title suggests, you will be able to find a remarkable amount of European masterpieces, especially by Dutch and Italian masters. The Romanian painting gallery is also a marvel, hosting lesser known artists but of master caliber, some I would argue surpassing some of their contemporaries.
Gift shop offers a good selection of art books and other collectables for very reasonable prices.

This is a pearl of Romania! The history is at her home there. The presentation of the place is amazing and the arthefacts are very incredibles.

I love this small but charming museum. Besides many not so well known pieces, there are some masterpieces of Flemish painters, and some really nice, big classical paintings of Romanian painters. Really worth seeing, from a historical and cultural point of view.
