We traded commodity for a tatty feel and unbothered staff. The idea of being right in the dead centre of town sounded good and the price was sort of OK with breakfast included. We were rudely met by the staff at the check-in that informed us that we paid for a breakfast that was not going to exist. We said that we are going to leave quite early and the web site and the sign at the front desk clearly stated that breakfast is from 07.00 to 10.00 and the lady told us that there isn't going to be any breakfast as it is Saturday and they only begin at around 08.00 which in my opinion is a thing that one should be made aware of. Otherwise we would have paid for the room WITHOUT breakfast.
The room tries to have a sort of old look to it but the bathroom disappoints completely. There was a jacuzzi sort of bathtub that was not working and there was no plug to have a bath, the side of the bathtub was moldy and the wall had repairing spots that were clearly left visible. The sink was minuscule, the faucet was nice looking but so unpractical for the tiny sink.
The AC made an unbearable sound and it was masked under some sort of grill which made the air coming out of it even more noisy and more or less useless as an AC as it barely cooled the stuffy room.
All in all it was a bit tatty and it doesn't deserve the price we paid for! I would recommend for a short visit when everything else is booked, otherwise - stay clear!!

With the ex work on of the lady on reception, the staff here are rude and inattentive.

The location is good being right on the main square.

The room was adequate and clean, but the aircon gurggled and was horribly noisy.

Breakfast was pleasant on the outside terrace.

No lift means it is not recommended for the elderly, with the long staircases.

The reviews I have read so far confirm my opinion. Great location, run down facilities, probably the rudest staff in Sibiu. Needs new management. Room was spacious enough but with airco that gurgled all night.

A very good location, by the big square. A lot of restaurants and cafes in the neighbourhood. The hotel nothing special , it was more like a bed and breakfast with sparse furniture and services, with the reception in a another building.

Right-in-the-middle hotel with a charming quite old air to it. But clean and generally nice. When we visited it was some kind of festival going on on the square that our room was facing, so nightlife was going on well after midnight. But given the location of the hotel one could assume that noice level are quite high, at least on weekends. But if you can’t beat em, join em. And if you fancy to stay up a bit late and look at people, this is the place.
Very friendly staff and a restaurant at the ground floor that served reasonably good food late in the evening. Good value for money.
