This is a really beautiful building known as Kuyumdzhioglu House and was originally the home of a Plovdiv merchant. The house both inside and out is decorate with floral motives. There are a number of airy rooms and each has a carved wooden ceiling which are all different and really lovely. Th e exhibits include crafts, fabrics and clothing, musical instruments and works of art to mention a few. It is wonderful to take a leisurely tour through and the surrounding gardens are well kept

Beautiful house and garden. Inside there a 2 floor showing old crafts, machinery, clothing etc. Interesting overview, probably one needs 30min

This museum is located in the heart of the old town. It is inside a small garden and the exterior is wonderfully crafted and decorated. It's an example of the national revival period in Bulgaria. The museum itself is big with a lot to see but the exhibits in my opinion should be more up to date and more organized because when you visit you feel like something is missing. The entry price is reasonable and generally it worths a visit.

I visited Plovdiv in November. The Ethnographic Museum is bases in one of the most beautiful houses in the Old Town but the lady at the desk was very unprofessional and rude. I really hope that next time I visit Plovdiv the recruitment policy in this museum would be of a higher standard and the staff will act in a more professional and adequate way!

The Ethnographic Museum is very interesting. It is stored in Kuimdjiev's house in the old town. The exhibition develops in several directions - agriculture, crafts, clothing, musical instruments and traditional subjects related to the Bulgarian culture.
