Unfortunately we had rather a rushed visit due to arriving about 30 minutes before closing time. We were still charged full price and had staff hovering and openly reminding us that they were closing soon for the last 20 minutes.
There were about six small rooms, each one covering a different period of the city. The displays were very professional, fairly well set up and had descriptions in Bulgarian and English.
From the brief look we had, one thing that seemed to come out was there is a lot of gold and money on display for all sorts of periods.
One useful feature was a set of baggage lockers in the entrance lobby - was great to have a break from carrying the bags for a few minutes.
