“Tiring walk to the top, but WORTH the effort”
Reviewed January 19, 2014

The monument as such as nice, but the real attraction is the view from up there! Complained on the way up as I couldn't feel my legs because of the long walk, it if you go just before sunset you will not regret a second of it! The view is one of a kind!

“Go for the view, not the monument”
Reviewed October 15, 2013

It's quite a steep accent to the top of the hill, but the view is worth it. If you'd like a treat for the effort, look for the tennis courts just below the hill, to the south. Find your way down there and right across them you'll stumble into a wonderful ice-cream shop called "Stenata" - the best in Plovdiv.

“Stroll to the top”
Reviewed September 30, 2013

A gentle stroll through the trees to the top. Halfway up is an outdoor fitness centre to try out. Good views of Plovdiv and the surrounding countryside from the top. Worth the short trip.

“good view of the Town”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

First of All , if you want to discover the city , you should walk and learn about everything about it.
Alyosha Soviet Army Memorial is located one of the seven hills of Plovdiv. You can see whole city under your feets.İt's not difficult to walk to the up of hill , whole pathway is covered with different trees which you can feel yourself inside a small forest.I advice you to bring your coffee or water with you cause there won't be any cafe or sth there.
