We had a great time on this tour. Very informative, a nice overview of the city's history without going into too much detail and the listeners loosing track/focus!

we went with our guide for a lovely stroll around old Plovdiv, and enjoyed stories about the history of this very ancient city. The tour ended with a walk up past the (must do) Ethnographic Musuem, to a hill with stunning views over the city. Wear good walking shoes, as the cobblestones can be tricky. A lovely way to spend a few hours. Be sure to tip if you like the tour!

I visited Bulgaria for the first time. After enjoying my walking tour through Sofia I definitely wanted to participate in the Plovdiv walking tour. Since I was in Plovdiv for only one day, it was a good way to get an impression of the city. Like in the Sofia tour, this guide (Adi) also was friendly and informative about the city and its history.
Therefore I end my review the same as the one regarding the Sofia walking tour:
Great tour from an informative guide. A must!

This is a very good way for a first-time visitor to see the major sights of Plovdiv, the 2nd largest city in Bulgaria. You will receive good information about the history of the city, and also of the history of Bulgaria, if you aren't already aware of this country's history.

The downtown pedestrian center is very modern and expansive. But beware, the trip up the hill to the ancient city is VERY rocky. Wear comfortable shoes. Don't take a baby carriage.

The tour starts at the entrance of the post office on the pedestrian mall. This is a huge white building and the entrance may be confusing; I'm including a photo of the entrance.

They do accept donations to help sustain the organization, but otherwise it is free.
