funny place this - as you drive into the premises (take a sat nav to find it!) you think 'what have I gotten myself into here?'
And then you find this lovely hotel on the river bank - and what a beautiful river it is!
Lovely room (although we splurged and took the suite) but the view was worth much more than we paid!
Good sized apartment (but no kitchen) with sep bed room, small balcony (big enough to entertain friends with pre dinner drinks) over looking the river.
The included restaurant served excellent meals (try the share plates - a share for 2 will easily feed 3).
Breakfast was OK.
On site free parking. Wi-fi was a bit hit and miss. We were there 2 nights and the town's internet went down for one night. (I'd hate to be relying on it for my business)
Close enough to walk into the town centre, although not a lot there after a 45 min walk around.

Bihac was recommended to us because it was a pretty town and relatively close to the Pltivice Lakes. Well - it is certainly a pretty river and is close to some beautiful sites, but it is a pain to get to Plitvice from Bihac. It is about 45 mins drive between Bihac and Plitvice (2 hrs if you get lost as we did). The icing on the cake is the ridiculous border crossing. Talk about a waste of time and people - but at least it did not cost us anything other than 15-25 mins of queuing.
For a obviously poor country, after a pointless war and leaving thousands of homes and buildings requiring countless dollars to rebuild, why in the world is there a border crossing requiring 3 different checkpoints just to stamp (and restamp) a passport? What a waste of money!
BIhac is a tired town on a very pretty river. It still has lots of war restoration and the bullet holes raking the sides of building always remind you of the recent past.
Not sure I would stay there again, but if we did, then it would certainly be at the Opal Exclusive.

This is simple. A very poor, almost hostile receptionist, who sighted every time we asked her to help us enter our room since the key card did not work during our stay. The suite were stayed in had a fantastic view of the Una river.
The location is maybe the only positive thing about this hotel. We came from the also four star Union hotel in Ljubliana. The difference is more than one star. The breakfast was run out of many things, and the coffee was the worst coffee I have tasted in my life. I even doubt they used coffee beans to produce it.

Room Tip: If you decide to go anyway, you can borrow the boat in the restaurant for a ride on the river. But be aware of the speed of the floating water.

This is the first time our family traveled to Bosnia and we went stayed i this hotel in Bhac. It was so wonderful and to think that it is just beside the river adds the excitement . You can hear the sound of the water rolling crisp which made me sleep . The food at the breakfast is excellent , with lots of healthy choces . I would highly recommend this

This is the third time i have stayed at this hotel on business trips to Bihac in Bosnia. Hotel is easy to find and walking distance from the town centre, although there is not that much to see in the town centre unless you after some quick shopping or the odd bar/restaurant.

The rooms are big and comfortable, bowl of sweets to keep you going ill dinner and in the three visits i have had there i cannot fault the quality or cleanliness of them.

The attached restaurant in the hotel is open to public from first thing in the morning till closing time. Breakfasts have a good choice, and plentiful, whether you are more of the continental breakfast type or whether you want something cooked. It is obviously one of the more popular places for business meetings as there are always meetings on the go all day long in the seating areas overlooking the river.
The last twice i have been there, just for 2 nights each time, i chose to eat in the restaurant. Excellent prices and left at the end of each meal well fed, excellent service and a happy camper.

One thing i would say is a negative in this hotel, and i would guess a lot of hotels in countries where there are not so many smoking restrictions in place, is that the bar/restaurant is always full of smoke right from opening. Travelling in countries where this has been banned for a few years makes quite a trip back in time to smokey bars and is the only issue i would have, but the rooms are smoke free.

When i plan next years trip, there will be no hesitation in where i will be going to stay.

Room Tip: Overlooking the river on second floor, can be a beautiful view if you get the right weather and sun.
