Owner description: It is the car-free area of Muslim Mostar where the Turkish shops are located. In this part of town you can find many artisans selling their traditional handicrafts from little shops by the side of the street: there are several interesting copper items and beautiful carpets, as well as clothes, scarves, jewelry, pipes and nargilehs. It's also the oldest - and luckily most intact - part of town.

I enjoyed this bazar so much. Lots of unique items from Bosnia and many metal crafts made on the spot. Nice jewelry. The vendors were real nice and I came home with a lot of good things.

“Very touristy but some good stuff hidden among it all”
Reviewed May 4, 2014

Not a great variety of stuff, most of the little shops sell the same stuff, but there are one or two who have more interesting and unique items- you just have to look hard and try to avoid the hard-selling techniques of most of the shop owners.

“Colorful, lively, souveniers”
Reviewed April 17, 2014

This Bazar is very colorful. You do not have touts and shop owners are friendly. Shop around because I found that prices vary and sometimes half of what the other store was charging and you can barter. Lots of Turkish items for sale. This is a car free zone located on the other side of the bridge. Every shop owner that i encountered spoke perfect English and were vdery nice.

“Pretty and good for souvenirs”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

This was a lovely area of Mostar with plenty of colourful souvenirs to buy and little cafes.

We did find it quite difficult to find a public toilet though! Best to use the toilet at a restaurant.
There are quite a few beggars which was sad to see, but they don't hassle too much. Make sure to keep a close eye on your bags.

“A great variety of good”

Colorful scarfs, glass lanterns, souvenirs, funny tshirts...You can find so many things in each of the shops on the street. Very friendly people, everyone seems to speak English there.
