“Worth a visit”
Reviewed November 9, 2013

17th century home of Turkish family well preserved with the furnishings. An informative guide was available. The views of the Neretva River from the men's bedroom were beautiful.

This is a great little museum. Nice to experience a bit of what life used to be like in Mostar.Town located adjacent the Neretva river, and easy walk while strolling the old Town,

“Good place to visit if you're interested in local history & culture”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

Small house with lovely old furniture, rugs & decorations. Great views over the river from one room. We went with a guide who gave a lot of information about Bosnian culture & history. Really interesting & worth seeing. Rather crowded with some groups pushing their way up the narrow, steep staircase when people were trying to come down! You are asked to remove your shoes before entering.

“Turkish House a must in Mostar”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

this 17C house is well worth a visit, still furnished with Turkish rugs and cushions, wooden panelling, and lots to learn about the lifestyle of the people living there, how they cooked, washed, and lived as a large, probably quite wealthy family.

“Very very interesting”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

This is an original old house of Mostar and almost everything inside is original. We met there the owner and he told us the story of the family and the house. It was very interesting and for us was the most interesting old house in Mostar. The others are like museums, this is something else. It is not easy to find, but absolutely it worth a visit. The story of the people is the best way to understand the story of the place. And for us, coming from west europe, it is so important listening it from mostar's inhabitants.
The part of the house you can visit is the woman's part, as the men's part was sold during the war. There are original furniture and home-made carpets.
They ask an offer of 2 euro per person, but you can pay what you like. They need money to conserve the house and to open it to public.
