“Great location, views, and staff”
Reviewed June 26, 2014

We only stayed one night in Mostar on our tour of former Yugoslavia, and it was a memorable one. Mostar is truly a gem of a city that is worth visiting. As for Villa Anri, it is located 5 minutes from the famous Stari Most and the heart of the old city. When you get there, the neighborhood doesn't seem all that great and the outside of the hotel isn't all that impressive. Don't judge a book by its cover! Inside the hotel, we were greeted warmly by the owner who sped us through check in and gave us a bunch of recommendations. Our room was of good size, with a comfortable bed and quite clean. The bathroom was up to western standards with the only drawback being the "rough" towels. After exploring the city and taking in a wonderful dinner at Dveri, we adjourned to the top of the hotel for our complimentary drink and appetizer. The nightime views of the bridge and city were amazing. Note the hotel has free wifi and a very good breakfast buffet. All of the above can be had for a measly 75 euros. Note that the hotel does offer free parking on the side of the hotel.

This is a lovely clean, welcoming hotel with exceptionally friendly staff. We were picked up by taxi from the station at no extra cost and welcomed with a complimentary drink and fruit which was most welcome after a long journey. Our room was large, very clean and very comfortable. Our small balcony looked directly at the old bridge, with an even better view from the roof terrace. We chose a first floor room for mobility reasons but the third (top) floor has the best view of the bridge. We arrived very early in the day but were still greeted warmly and our bags were looked after until check in was possible. The breakfast was a lovely, simple but delicious buffet with orange juice squeezed to order and coffee made freshly for each guest. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful we felt like we had stayed in a home not a hotel. The Old Town and bridge are just minutes away and restaurant recommendations were excellent. A perfect stay.

Room Tip: Top floor if you want the best view of the bridge

Excellent staff, couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Rooms were spotless and the welcome drink on the terrace was a very nice touch. Best roof view in Mostar. Highly recommended.............

Villa Anri is a wonderful little bed and breakfast within view of Mostar's famous bridge. Our room was sunny and cheerful, with a small balcony with our own bridge view. There was a decent-sized bathroom with a good shower and plenty of hot water. The best part of a Villa Anri stay, though, is the outstanding hospitality and warmth of the staff, who enthusiastically help with every detail of your stay. We were met at the bus station for a free transfer to the hotel, then greeted with welcome glasses of Bosnia-Herzegovina's famous Rakia brandy, and a bite of cheese and prosciutto. The included breakfast was an extremely generous buffet of meats, cheeses, breads, yogurts, fruits, juices and eggs. The staff is very helpful with sightseeing suggestions and restaurant recommendations. In fact, we followed through on both their dinner suggestions during our two-night stay and were very happy with both. The inn is about a five-minute walk to the thick of Mostar's action -- just removed enough to be a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the tourist center. We found it a great selection.

This place was everything you would hope for. The staff was friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The tour around the area was also worth the money. You are only a few minute walk for the old bridge and the old town

What a great hotel, just a short walk from the bridge and restaurants. Parking was included and the hotel was easy to get to. The staff was great and you had a fantastic view of the bridge from their balcony.
