“An Unexpected Treat!”
Reviewed January 5, 2014

Our arrival in Mostar started with kindness from strangers that escorted us to Villa Anri, only to find the friendliest staff possible. I traveled with my 72 year old mother via car from Croatia, and the staff could not have been kinder or more welcoming. They went above and beyond with their recommendations about places to eat, they gave us a couple bottles of wine during our stay, and also shared many interesting details about the history of Mostar and their own personal experiences during the war. We really had some rich conversations.

Our room was quite large with an incredible view of the famous bridge and the old town was just steps away. It didn't hurt that it was also a full moon. The breakfast was excellent and again, I can't say enough about the staff and the wonderful way that they ensured our stay was as good as possible.

Room Tip: You should get a room with a view of the bridge which is especially lovely in the evenings when it i...

We stayed two nights in Nov 2013 in this small family run B&B, the value was fantastic and the breakfast was excellent. They even gave us a gift of a bottle of local wine when we checked out.
Aliana was super nice and very helpful.
They offer free parking, free WiFi and its very close to the Old Town.

I know you read this a lot in reviews but the staff really were incredibly helpful and friendly. In fact they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was most pleasant. I received a number of emails leading up to our stay to help us with planning our visit. On arrival they'd arranged for us to be picked up from the bus station and even though our bus was 2 hours later the driver was sat happily waiting for us. And no matter how many silly questions I asked I was always greeted with helpful answers, good advice and a big smile. The location was incredible too... We visited Mostar solely for the bridge and there cannot be a better view of it from anywhere in the city. I sat and watched the bridge from our top floor balcony as night turned to day and the sun rose over the mountains. Top notch. Sadly I could only stay a day but the staff offered to keep hold of our luggage for a few hours (even insisting on helping us up and down the stairs with the luggage). Definitely a memorable visit and a place I'm looking forward to returning to one day soon...

Everything was fantastic! Villa Anri ensured that we would remember our stay for the best of reasons. Before we had even left Australia staff had offered to meet us at the train or bus station on our arrival. Once in Mostar the welcome was warm with drinks and nibbles on the terrace overlooking the Old Town and Stari Most. Excellent location, quiet, but only a short walk to the town. Very comfortable rooms, with a view towards the mountains and Old Town. Delicious breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. We were a family group of 5 adults and staying at Villa Anri was a very relaxing experience. Thank you for your gift of local wine when we departed, a lovely gesture and much appreciated.

Great place to stay. Rooftop terrace overlooks Stari Most (Old Bridge). Location couldn't be better. Location isn't everything - - the warm welcome (Amra and Sabina were invaluable.) Bosnia was a new experience for us, and they graciously shared their experiences of the troubled time of the early 90's. We had a lot to learn.
If driving - - most streets are not marked. Hard to get around. Most people do not speak English, but will try very hard to help you.
Re: parking @ Villa Anri Make reservations for this prior to showing up. Likely free.
Breakfast there is excellent, and ample.
The only thought is a shower curtain would be helpful in the bathrooms. The solution to this, is wet yourself, turn off shower, soap up, turn shower back on, and rinse off.
By the way - - virtually no place accepts plastic. Cash only.
HIGHLY recommend tour guide Alma Elezovic <aelezovic@gmail.com>. She will share soooo much, and welcomes discussions of varied opinions. VERY reasonable. Suggest just working with her directly, and having a private tour instead of arranging to be included with a larger group. Seriously - - worth every BM (Bosnian Mark).
GO to Mostar - - It's not a resort, yet very rewarding.

Just returned from 3 weeks in Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina and this was BY FAR the best hotel we found! Sabina was a delight as was the rest of the staff. We were welcomed with a drink and some local bites brought to our room on the terrace. The view of the old bridge from the terrace is unequaled! Everyone can use the terrace but 2 rooms have private entry. Other rooms have balcony views of the bridge. Short walk to the shops and restaurants along the river. Great recommendations for dinner. Breakfast was amazing and fresh OJ to boot! Free parking was also a plus. Highly recommend a stay in this gem of a hotel!

Room Tip: There is a double and a triple that share the terrace with each having private access.
