Best experience ever. This is my first time to Mostar and we rented a car from Dubrovnik. The car broke down halfway on the highway which was still 2 hours away from Mostar. None of the locals speak English so I called Nermina, the manager at Motel Emen in Mostar, with the slightest hope that somehow she could help though we were so far away. Miraculously she sent a friend who is a travel agent in Trebinje called Predrag to pick us up from the highway and put us up in a small cafe to wait for tow truck.

Once we arrived the hotel - they were already waiting. One staff reserved a parking space for us and they helped us move all the luggages to the hotel.

The room (203) was clean, tidy and has an amazing balcony and view. We had breakfast at the hotel which they provided fresh fruits, cheese, cured meat, breads and coffee (with creme).

The staff also made good recommendations on places to visit and was very helpful throughout our stay.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Mostar, look no further. I am not sure why they call themselves a motel.. their service, quality of staff, room condition and food was def worth calling themselves a proper hotel

Room Tip: Get the one with balcony!

A very clean and modern 6 room motel in the very heart of the old town in Mostar. 4 minute walk to the bridge on a very cobbled pathway. Lots of restuarants on the way.

We had room 103 which had a large balcony (not that we used it because it was 44 degrees when we were there). Big room with air conditioning, and fridge. Free internet access.

Staff are very pleasant, eager to please. Cannot fault anything. Exceptional value.

One point to make: for those who say there is no hot water- watch out for the extra switch near the lights, you could be turning the hot water system off!!!!!

Room Tip: room 103 with balcony

We booked the Motel Emen for the nights of 22 June 2012 following reviews on Tripadvisor. We weren't disappointed.
The service and location could bot be bettered. We parked in a public parking area and walked to the hotel where we met Mohammed (spelling?).
Mohammed walked back to the car with me, took me to a parking area near the hotel (about 30 metres away) and moved his own car where he had had been saving a parking place for me.
He then took our two cases (quite heavy) and marched off to the hotel carrying everything.
The location was superb.
The next morning Mohammed was organising a great breakfast for us.
All this for 70 euros per night - the best value we had in three weeks n Croatia and Bosnia.

Mostar is a great town to visit (I recommend staying one night, so you can avoid the tourist crowds in the morning and evening and get a real feeling of the town). Warning- A VERY hard town to walk in, as the old town is covered in very stony and cobbled walkways (a lot of people were slipping)

After getting off a bus from Dubrovnik at the Moster station, my friend and I hoped to take a short walk to the hotel. Not so, the walk was over 30 mins, minus the fact that half the time we were pulling suitcases along some verrrrrry cobbly streets (mostar is not the place to wear flips or any shoes that dont have solid grounding). After a long walk, and basically dripping in sweat we arrived at the Motel Emen.

Location wise the hotel could not be better, literally on 4 mins from the Bridge. The hotel is very comfortable, modern and we were upgraded to the balcony suite. The hotel also has computers available for use which we thought was a nice touch. The room was very big and was nicely furnished.

Cons regarding the hotel is that the shower had no hot water the whole time we were there. Staff also do not understand or speak english very well, which is fine, but proved to be a bit problematic at check out (they needed to find a nearbye vendor who had a grasp of the language). After basically being tossed around three so-called hotel workers we finally were checked out (i think the weirdest part was when the vendor took our money and walked away, we later found out he went to deposit it in the bank machine in order to give us a receipt)

Also the breakfast was very disappointing, you are given some pre-packaged croissants, bread, jam, butter, packaged cheese and some eggs. I would liked some fresh items like cheese and meat, rather than packaged ones, as well as some fresh fruit (standard fair). Do request some turkish coffee (you need to ask, they will not bring to you).

Also be warned that there is a club nearbye which was blasting some very loud music till the early hours which made going to bed a bit difficult. As two young guests it did not bother us, however it may not be tolerated bye others.

Overall, I would say nice hotel, some minor tweaks and mishaps could be avoided. I also feel they should offer a pick-up/drop-off service from the bus stop, or at least arrange for a paid taxi service.

Wow, this is a beautiful boutique hotel, not like your typical motel. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly, the room (203) was spacious, immaculate and had a lovely balcony. Wifi and parking available. Great location in the centre of the old town, every attraction is within easy walking distance. I could have stayed for much longer than two nights!

Everything about this hotel was perfect, from its location, the room and the hosts. On arrival, we were escorted to our balcony room. The room was lush. Very modern and clean. The hotel was a stone throw from the Old Bridge. After spending time in the Old Town, we came back to our room to relax on the balcony. It was my husband's birthday, so I asked the staff if they had any cake/dessert from their restaurant that I could stick his birthday candles in. They had no cake, but had lovely baklava which placed on a plate, decorated with whipped cream and strawberries, which they brought to the room as a surprise with Bosnian coffee. The kindness of the staff really made the trip. The next day, we had the best breakfast here and did not want to leave. Bosnians are 100 % friendly and I can't wait to return back to Mostar :)

Room Tip: Go for a balcony room

We found this Hotel(actually calling itself a Motel!) by searching on TripAdvisor and like the recent reviewers, found it VERY friendly, comfortable and probably the most convenient for visiting the old town and of course 'the bridge'. Loved our Room at the rear, with huge balcony, the young waiter/receptionist was really helpful and of course their access to a free parking space, 100 mtrs from the Hotel was terrific. Overall, a 'must find'.
