We ended up at the Old Town Hotel completely by chance. Location was about as close as you can get to the historic centre and park a car.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, even if communication was a problem.

The 'deluxe room' was very comfortably and in particular had a huge fantastic shower. (I looked at the standard room and it did not seem too different from the deluxe room, but we were allowed to have the deluxe room for the same price).

The rate includes Wi-Fi and breakfast. The Wi-Fi was fine, but the breakfast was a very simple and small cold buffet. For the room rate I would have expected to have been able to order something hot.

This is a pleasant hotel, staffed by a friendly, helpful team. Big pluses are the location (a 2 minute walk to the famous bridge), on-site parking, reliable in-room wi-fi (not that common in Bosnia Herzegovina), and a delightful, shaded terrace for breakfasting. The 'deluxe double' room we were in was sufficiently-equipped but did not really scream 'luxury', so we would likely have been rather disappointed had we opted for a standard room, since they presumably are pretty basic. The room was big enough but certainly not large, although the king size bed was comfortable, the air-con effective, and the shower cubicle (no bath!) wonderfully roomy! The breakfast buffet was fine, if not spectacular.  The products in the bathroom were house-branded and not at all special. This is a good small hotel, which I suppose means it qualifies as 'boutique', but those expecting exquisite luxury and opulence - leave those thoughts at home!  The price is fairly typical for this standard in the UK, although really on the expensive side for Bosnia Herzegovina. In Mostar, I think this probably stands out as the best hotel by some way, so until some serious quality competition turns up, Old Town can doubtless continue to charge these prices (145 euro per night B&B). I would stay here again without hesitation... but only because there is nothing more stylish and luxurious currently to choose from in Mostar.

intended to spend two hours and leave. NO WAY! Mostar has too much to offer so we found a room in the heart of everything. Even had on site parking. Room was fine the A/C was not the best and the bathroom was fine. The staff both at night and day was great help and the English was great. The hotel has a great "intangible" feel to it. Affordable with location.

We had drink in the outside area and it was beautiful - water running close by, mood lighting just a perfect end to the day!...

As we were only staying in Mostar for one night we didn't book in advance. We turned up and looked for some signs for apartments or hotels. The sign for the Old Town Hotel indicated it was only 100m away so we headed there. It ended up being probably about double that distance but it was worth the short walk. The fairly new hotel is absolutely stunning and the owners are very friendly. With only 10 rooms there is a real personal feel. The room was immaculate with a balcony looking over the beautiful hills and part of the old town. You are literally in the heart of the old town as the signs say so it is perfect for exploring especially if like us you do not have much time. Breakfast is a generous and varied buffet (which is great for me as I'm vegetarian so appreciate anything more than bread and cheese). It was a little out our budget (130 euros for a double room) but we were so blown away by the location and the actual hotel that we thought we'd treat ourselves. And one really nice fact about the place is that Martin Luther King III stayed there is May this year!
