“More than just a hostel”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

Staying at Miran's hostel was a really fulfilling experience. Miran immediately gives you the feeling that you're not just a client to him but a friend, family even :) He picked us up from the train station and had free warm coffee on the table every morning for everyone. The hostel is very clean and well located and Miran always makes sure that everyone's happy and has all they need. Make sure not to miss his all-day tour. You get to experience the heart of southern Bosnia from a local's point of view. Miran's stories and happy spirit, along with the other amazing people you get to spent time with on the tour and the breathtaking views, make this experience very special, unlike the typical 'tourist tour'. Miran, you are a wonderful person and host. Thank you for everything and see you soon!

Emily

If you come to Mostar and you don't take Miran's tour to the surroundings cities and waterfalls, you have missed half of Southern Bosnia. With his stories about the history of the country and the war, he is a showman. Apart from clean beds and toilette, quiet bedrooms and breakfast with Bosnian coffee, the hostel has a superb atmosphere if you want to meet travelers. Miran does his best to make your stay entertaining and enjoyable.

The hostel is very clean - no shoes allowed inside. The owner, Miran, is always welcoming and very helpful - no matter what time is it! He helped me find a parking spot in the middle of the night. Thank you man! Iskren, Bulgaria

Miran is friendly and welcoming. My daughter and i spent a wonderful few days here. Miran's excursions are very interesting and he is an excellent host. Plenty of nearby shops and restaurants and not too far from the beautiful Mostar bridge - a great family run hostel with an interesting story to tell. Very very hot when we went in July.

I was only planning to stay in Mostar for one day but I ended up staying for three days. That's not just because this is a nice hostel and Miran has done anything he can to make your stay comfortable, he also orgainsed some really great tours and it's an experience I'll never forget.
The tours I joined were the war tour as well as the tour to go outside of Mostar (there are a few interesting attractions outside the town). I highly recommend the war tour if you want to know about the history of Mostar and what happened during the war. It was heartbreaking plus the fact that Miran also had the first hand experience and the whole thing became really emotional.
The second tour I joined was also very good if you have the time.
Overall I highly recommend this hostel as well as the tours.

I stayed in this place when I visited mostar in June 2012. Miran and his wife really made the trip for me, he picked me and my mate up from the bus station (a nice surprise as we were expecting to get hassled for places to stay non stop whilst trying to find his house on the map).

Miran's wife was also really helpful during our stay and provided us with proper Bosnian coffee in the morning, and where to buy it.

The room itself was a small box room with two single beds, but we needed a base to enjoy mostar (which you can do in a day easily) and it was all we needed and cost around 25 euros between us in busy season.

I'd recommend these guys if you're after a perfectly serviceable cheap option as they were really friendly and helpful.

Mostar was a unexpected stop on our trip - but even with such a short stay Miran was very helpful and accommodating to us. We got to see most of the sites and really enjoyed ourselves. Miran is full of passion and stories about his country and his city.
