certainly has seen better times. And, like many of its kind obviously recieved a "refurbishment" which made it worse. The location is good, the overall setting of the hotel is fantastic, it still radiates an air of soviet elegance, what I definately mean in a postivie way here – but its worn out. I wish this hotel gets a better management that is able bring this hotel back to where it started once.

I stayed there for a week. The hotel is well placed in the middle of this great city.
Although ,it can not be compared with hotels of the same category in western Europe ,
it is clean .The staff did not speak English but personally i would not mind cause i used to it in Ukraine .Besides everybody was extremely polite and helpful , things that matter most.
The room i stayed was a bit small but as i understand there are more spacious available-for a small extra cost.
The breakfast looked to my eyes delicious and plentiful ( I am a coffee person so i have not taste it).In the first floor there was a restaurant.
The floor housekeeper was also very good in her job.
I like the architecture of the hotel which i suppose is of Soviet Union origins.
Very close to Ukraina is a wonderful Georgian restaurant and across the street a complex of western-like entertainment venues ( food , cafe, club) overlooking one of the ports of the city.
Definitely I will stay there when i am back to Sevastopol.

This hotel is only rated 3 Star. It was remodeled in 2001 and in my opinion is highly underrated. overall it should be rated 4 star. In September of 2005 we stayed 10 days at the Ukraina Hotel. We chose a Junior Suite with King Bed. The accomodations were very good and comfortable. The price $120 USD per night was also very good for the quality of the suite. The staff was friendly and professional, always willing to provide any extra service requested. Several of the staff spoke fluent English. The parking in the rear of the hotel was very secure with a 24 hour attendant. Their were always several Doormen at the front entrance and in the lobby. They were always very helpful, provided good service and added security. The Dinning Room was run very well and the staff was also very friendly, attentive and professional. The manager was always on the floor and managing her staff during all service periods (breakfast through dinner). The Chef was excellent. The menu had a good variety, the food was always fresh, tasted wonderful and the plate presentation was excellent. We dined at other higher rated restaurants around the city and found the service, food quality and price to be much better at the Ukraina Hotel. Other convieniances nearby included a late night store and cafe with ATM next to the hotel. The central city location brings many museums within short walking distance and the waterfront area is a 5 minute taxi ride.
