“mediocre service/food”
Reviewed May 17, 2012

I'm not sure how this place got such good reviews. The food was just ok, well presented but not well prepared. Service for us was courteous but slow. We had to ask for menus and flag somone down if we wanted drinks.

“Good food, but very little frequentation.”
Reviewed April 19, 2012

I always wondered why Puro was not a thriving restaurant. Even though I liked the food, the decor and the service, every time I went, the place was almost empty. It is true that it is in a little-out-of-the way location, so are other similar quality restaurants which throb with people. Go figure. Great for a romantic occasion...

“Solid all rounder!”
Reviewed September 11, 2011

Situated on the edge of town, far from the madding crown. Modern dining, crisp clean service, good wines, waist saving portions but quality and well presented. May be a touch on the expensive side but worth it.

“Plenty of restaurants in Pristina, but Puro is special”
Reviewed August 19, 2010

There are plenty of restaurants on offer in and around Pristina, but Puro is probably as good as it gets if you want international cuisine and excellent, very professional service. It's located in the outskirts of Pristina, up a rather obscure lane, so best to ask a local taxi driver to take you there.
The menu is definitely inventive and there is an extensive range of wines, spirts and cigars on offer. The steak - in various dishes - is very good indeed, and Puro is one of the few restaurants in Pristina (outside of Serbian areas) that is happy to serve pork on its main menu. Sadly it doesn't have a garden for the summer months, so it tends to be more popular in the autumn, winter and spring.
Puro is also very popular with senior Kosovan politicians, so from time to time the whole place is under tight security because some bigwig - often the Prime Minister himself - is dining there. It's also patronised by senior internationals, attracted by the service and pleasant ambience. Although not cheap, Puro is definitely worth a visit if you are bored with the typical fare on offer in most other places.

“the best place”
Reviewed October 11, 2009

Very Good Food
The staff are professional and courteous, but one of the biggest issues is that they are far too attentive. There is no need for someone to come to the table every 30 to 60 seconds. This can be extremely annoying at times. On the other hand, unlike most other restaurants in Pristina, they do not deafen customers with loud intrusive music, so it probably the best place to eat and converse.
