“A Quiet Stroll”
Reviewed May 4, 2014

To be honest, if you have seen Dubrovnik, you could give Kotor a miss if you are short of time. However(!) it is much less crowed; we were there as perhaps the only coach party - certainly there were no gaggles of tourists following an uplifted umbrella or placard - but his was April.
Unfortunately, there are very few buildings open to the public of which the cathedral is the best. Perhaps better to visit by night when it is quiet and has a fairly-tale old world charm. I've uploaded a few photos.

“Glad we went”
Reviewed April 29, 2014

After a 12-hour delay leaving Dubrovnik we arrived in Kotor at midnight so felt quite depressed, until .... the next morning we were simply blown away. What a beautiful city.

“Relaxing stroll!!”
Reviewed April 26, 2014 via mobile

Kotor old Town is nice to walk around. It is smaller than Dubrovnik and Split but has its own charm. In the morning you can also enjoy the farmers market just outside the walls near the main entrance.

“Two Hour Stroll Through Town”
Reviewed April 24, 2014

We were here on a day trip to Montenegro. Guide gave us two hours which was plenty of time to walk around the quaint streets, tour the main church, shop for souvenirs, and get lunch. The walls of this town go way up the side of the mountain. There's a nice harbor with various boats.

“Day visit Ventura P&O cruise ship to Kotor”
Reviewed April 24, 2014

On a 7day cruise from Venice to Genoa, first stop Kotor. Cruise ship docked 2 miles from town centre so had to be tendered in. Landing point directly outside old city walls, numerous taxis/boat trips available check prices alot cheaper that cruise organised trips. Tourist centre within 50m of landing point, free maps of old town available.Very quaint, mainly traffic free centre easily walked. souveneir shops. cafes available, reasonable prices 8e for 2 toasted sandwiches plus 2 soft drinks, Visted 2 of the churches and walked up the path to the old fort high up the hill. Goood footware reccomended, take you time and be amazed by the views of the fjord. It is strenuous but worth the effort approx 45 minutes each way. Some great photo's taken
