“Extremely crowded but pleasant afternoon”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

If you ignore the flocks of people walking around you and the commercial piazzas it is an amazing picturesque town filled with history. You wont need much time to explore the city and what it has to offer. There is one street that only one person fits at a time, no streets have names only the piazzas and there are 2 main cathedrals which have been reconstructed. You can also enjoy views from the town and marina if you climb the walls leaving the old town. If you are allergic to cats, good luck! they are everywhere!!

“Beautiful piece of history”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

We made a day stop in this port while on a cruise. The whole area is breath-taking! fjord, mountain, water, boats...wow! And the old town is definitely worth visiting. Very clean and well-preserved. Not an easy walk for those who have mobility issues! We visited a couple of shops and the folks were very welcoming.
The area is so picturesque that you feel like renting a car and just driving around.

“Cultural piece of history!”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

I loved walking round the old town of Kotor. The old town is surrounded by a huge wall, and only accessabel via an arch way or old drawbridge. My advise would be to enter via the drawbridge, as the culture seen on this walk is lovely. It reminded me or a historic pirate town, and then opens up into the town centre, full of shops and boutiques. Its worth wandering around the small streets of the Old Town and talking in the Culture of Montenegro. Highly recommended

“Well preserved medieval town.”
Reviewed October 3, 2012

Small, intimate, well-preserved medieval town. Like a small suburb of Dubrovnik. Easy to get around but a hell of a climb to the Fortress. Be prepared!

“Small and Bijou”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

A trip into Kotor by boat is an amazing site, almost like entering a fjord, see photos. Once at the harbour the experience continues with this small but beautiful city; easily walkable unless you walk up to the castle. Many places to eat and drink and numerous churches and sites to visit. The back drop to the old town is stunning a sheer cliff climbing away up to the castle, the walls are evident on boths sides of the town to the castle summit. Just wander around and enjoy the buildings and comfortable atmosphere.
