I had a lunch with couple of friends in Macak after a visit to Petrovaradin Fortress. We were cold and hungry and Macak was the first place we saw. Restaurant had a warm atmosphere with typical Italian decoration. We ordered tomato soup and pizza with anchovies. There was a wide variety of pizzas but since we don't eat pork meat, we couldn't trust the meat ingredients in those pizzas. The waitress was a bit surly at first, as if we disturbed the lazy air in the restaurant. But after lunch she treated us well and kind. Tomato soup came in a big casserole and it was really delicious. We were already full up with the soup and we hardly finished the pizza which was also tasty. We paid 500 Serbian Dinars each including the tip and it was a fair price for that menu.
