Description: This story began long time ago. A sad event happened in 1826 when the old Lviv City Hall collapsed. The only permanent residents of the City Hall were the trumpet player and his family. The ruins buried two soldiers, five workers and the trumpet player. Since then the trumpet player's family left the City Hall and moved next to the house of the Lviv clockmaker in the Jewish area. It was close to the City Hall and safer. The municipal workers did not earn a lot, that's why they had to do what they did the best they could in their free time. The clockmaker was a wine expert and also baked the best bread in the city. And the trumpet player baked the most delicious Carpathian river trout (pstruh is the Ukrainian Hutsul name for river trout).

If you have been walking the say long through city center, you would be more that sure remembering all your friends living not far in order to come in and have a glass of wine with some bite.
Good company, good location, good people attitude, simple food and a glass to match your time. Happy to have friends with terrace and good history view? If not, do not be disappointed so easily. Just enter this small café next to Synagogue and old fortification wall and ask bred, wine and batter.
What we call “Deeps and Chips” has own history here. It’s called bread and butter (pate, bruschetta feelings, cheese and fruits) it very plain and well prepared to combat your hunger and leave place for some leaf salad.
If you are a man with good appetite or strong women for live yourselves in this world, do not stop on bits. Good barbeque sausages are something for temptation. And do not forget of the specialize d’ la cuisine – a good fish in mushrooms and cream made with smoke opened air.
Still do not believe that you have friend to serve you something to bite and a glass of wine to enjoy the history and relax? Enter here and you will love this place as to come back.

We've been there twice. The 1st time we loved the atmosphere and those small sandwiches with different type of pates. Especially charming was the trupet player who played local, galician songs.
The second visit was for dinner, and it was disappointment. My partnet ordered the trout, and it was not salty, zero herbs. I ordered the chichen salad, the chicken part was ok, but salad... Well the lettuce was not chopped, It looked like cook was in a hurry and didn't finish it.
The localization is worth seeing, especially the place where synagogue used to stand.

Poor service. Limited menu. Fish is good, salads are awful. Expensive. Only the outside terrace is good

Situated just behind the armouries this is a great place to sit, drink and eat. The staff are very friendly and the inside is really good.

We opted for lunch here and ordered trouts with a variety of side orders. The weather was excellent so we sat outside enjoying the sun, warmth and delicious food. I can highly recommend this place.
