This cemetary is so old and beautiful. It has many different types of headstones and masoleums. It is a very ornate place. It is nice to take a stroll through the cemetary and look at all of the old stones. The oldest I found dated back to early 1800. I'm sure there are some even older in the central part of the cemetary.

In the winter it is pretty with the blanket of snow, but the paths are icy and can get very slick.

This place is defintely worth a visit.

I went alone on a very cold day! It cost 10 grivna (1 euro) to get in. It was a nice place for a walk and some of the tombstones are quite impressive.

I walked here from the city centre around half hour, down vul. Pekars'ka (the cemetery is at the end of the street). I took the #7 tram back for 1.5 grivna (0.15 euro), on the same side as the cemetery (about 10 mins).

I believe walking tours are available which provide some historical background if you are willing to pay however extra it costs.

Out of the way and of little interest to tourists (unless you have Ukrainian relatives buried here!) search out the victims museum instead.....far more interesting
