First time to Croatia, wont be the last. Fell in love with country and people. Booked relatively late on voyage prive, a few issue with that but not for now. Went with Wife and 9yo and 7yo. Stayed at Hotel Niko, Amadria Park (solaris) in Niko hotel.
The hotel is one of five on the same resort owned by the same company and although only 3 star, the others are 4 and 5 star, it was great. The rooms were clean and cleaned well everyday and although you can see this it is the oldest of the hotels, the service and food and bar service was up to the 5 star rating.
Reception staff could not be more helpful, the cleaning staff in the room made a special effort in our room as I had a bad chest and they made sure it was spotless. The food in the hotel was very good. My wife described it as home cooking by her mother, it was so tasty. Very well presented. Maria one of the restaurant staff served us the whole time we were there and was a delight. Thank you again Maria. And the restaurant Manager Mate, was so hospitable towards us, he was generous with his time and was very knowledgeable talking me through choosing local wine, we managed a different bottle almost every day. The wine was also reasonably priced.
The resort was excellent, it had a water park the Kids loved, you pay extra but it was well priced, it had the inflatable play zones on the sea, again extra but not expensive. The beach front bars were very good as was the food. The only negative for me is as it is all the same hotel with no real public access so why do they charge for sun loungers on the beach! The sea was wonderful, clear but you do need to have something on your feet, due to the slightly rocky bottom.
If you do go to this resort, go to the City of Sibernik, it was fantastic, we loved exploring the lovely narrow streets of the old town. The cathedral is amazing, full of lots of lovely unusual shops as well.
We would also recommend Krka national park. We did a trip through the resort and travelled there by boat and back by coach, it was a great experience and the kids got to swim next to the waterfall. Finally we would recommend the Rafting down the Cetina, we went on a 7 hour round trip including transport there and bac⁸
