well, after finding numerous gems on our 3 wk, off-season Croatia adventure, we were due for a klinker, (including the nightmare @ Ethno House, Plitvica Lakes where we were totally abandoned!!) Despite this convenient location, unfortunately, the room, service, breakfast, fell short of what was expected or advertised, this place is very much like a step back in time, elevator size of a phone booth, front desk totally clueless, breakfast pretty much out of a can,(it was really lame) and they have the nerve to charge for parking...and once again we were pretty much the only ones there....they should know better, off season doesn't mean cut back on services...the nearby rustic pub has great pizza, we watched Croatia beat Iceland there to qualify for the world cup, also an excellent selection of beers. We encountered severe winds the following morning,(Bora) was an adventure watching their furniture fly across the patio.... the highlight of our stay...

Room Tip: going off season, getting a room facing the sea shouldn't be a problem...but I'd be very dis...

I have a beef with this hotel. if you are going to charge 119 euro, you better be decent. you were not. I felt robbed. If I had paid 35 euros, I might have less scathing review. linens were dirty. sheet was threadbare. bed was lumpy. room smelled musty funky. depressing lobby, overpowering aroma of smoke in the common areas, near the teeny tiny elevator. carpet was grimy and outdated. bathroom was outdated, the tub was elevated so trying to get under the showerhead was awkward and uncomfortable. furniture looked like it had been there since the 60's, communist 60's not hipster 60's. the staff was unwelcoming. Although, one of the night staff did try to help us purchase a bottled water, unfortunately, the water bottle had been opened and refilled with tap water. I don't think he did it on purpose because the water was cold, he just didn't realize it had already been opened. In the morning, when I politely said I would not pay for it, this became battle ground for the woman behind the counter to argue over 3 euros and make phone calls to check with the gentleman who was no longer at work who tried to do something nice for us. It was beyond uncomfortable and I am not even sure if I paid for it or not in the end. I was horrified that she would be so petty. It was miserable stay. the only redeeming quality was the location is right on the water and the hotel in in the old town. We absolutely loved Sibenik. so, don't skip Sibenik, just skip this hotel and find another.

This place looks great from the outside with a great location for the local sites. Then there was the lady at reception that did not finish charm school. Up the very tiny elevator, down the hall to the room, and I literally thought that I was having a flashback to my first college dorm room. Small, cramped, rather cheaply furnished. The only saving grace from my college days is that the bathroom was in the same room. Of course there was the water that was coming up from the floor drain in the bath.
There was one unique feature. Using some kind of an upright portable space heater as a headboard for one of the beds was definitely different. And, while this is not a direct hotel issue, there was "Merishka" the small barking dog in the courtyard,(?) behind the hotel from 5 to 7:30am.
But, as they say, any port in a storm. Come to think of it, it was a dark and stormy night......

Room Tip: What ever you do, read the reviews.

after I had booked I had reservations after reading other reviews. I think most of them have been unfair. The Jadran offers honest down to earth value for money. I find it clean and the staff helpful and of course it is IN THE BEST LOCATION. Yes the breakfast isn't the greatest, but it does cater for all tastes. The bed is comfortable, linen changed on a daily basis and I would definitely come back

Room Tip: you need to ask for air con if you want it. I would definitely recommend it as can get noisy outsid...

Family of 4 booked two rooms in early January. Location can't be beat - right on the riviera and close to ferry terminal, restaurants, shops,etc... Rooms are small, cramped, cold and in need of serious upgrading. They are clean though. Walls are very thin and spent the night listening to snoring from the room next door.

Service was hit and miss. Night clerk was okay, but somewhat rude and dis-interested, but in the morning the woman at the desk was most helpful - even let us park free for the day while we took the ferry to one of the islands after we had checked out.

Breakfast (included) was alright. Had virtually everything one could want, but the waiter was more interested talking to other staff instead of ensuring guests were looked after.

Overall I would recommend for an overnight, mostly due to location alone. For anything longer there are much better options available.

The hotel is ideally located in the old town, where you will probably spend a lot of your time whilst in Sibenik. It is also only a couple minutes' walk from the bus depot, which makes it wasy to make your way from one coastal town to the other. For these reasons alone, I have rated it as "average". Otherwise, the hotel is reminiscent of a communist-era hotel; ugly and functional, no frills and very few smiles from staff. Having said that, it was clean and breakfast supplies were plentiful. Sibenik is the sort of place where you will spend most of your time outside your hotel room anyway.

Room Tip: Don't book this hotel if you're looking for creature comforts

Very little room, bad breakfast, very well located (the main quality), without internet, the parking is well paid, an uncongenial staff, old building with many needs of repair, but... is the unique hotel in the old town.

Room Tip: Try to have a front room. The back rooms are very claustrophobic without views.
