This museum was suggested to us by our guide as we had already visited the excellent Archeological Museum next door and the Church of St Donat opposite. It is run by nuns and evidently during the war the nuns hid these treasures and even kept moving them from place to place for safe keeping. There is a brilliant exhibition of gold and silver religious objects. Even if you are not religious, you may find this exhibition very interesting. Unfortunately, we could not take photos, but postcards are available for sale by the nuns. The nuns are the guardians of these treasures and I got the impression that they take their role very seriously and by opening the exhibition to tourists, they are letting you take a peek into their world. It was a privilege to see this wonderful exhibition.

Only £2 to go in & the gold & silver pieces were fascinating...probably more interesting had I been Catholic? Some art, old but not particularly good. However would still recommend it.

This wonderful museum was recommended by our lovely guide Tea. It is not in the guide book. The skill of the craftsmen who created these beautiful artefacts is astonishing. It was an unforgettable visit, don't miss it!

We didn't even know about this place so we were amazed afther we visited it. The entrance fee is 20 kunas per person (cca 2,70 €) and students get some discount. The entrance tickets are sold by nuns in a small museum shop. The exhibition is really interesting because of its rare artefacts. Some of them came from Vatican. For example, you can see a small part of wood of the holy Cross, relics of the Innocent childs and other religious art. Very nice and interesting. As we didn't know that this museum exists, we didn't expect anything, but therefore it was a great experience!

Great exhibition about religion art from the Romaneque time up to the 18th century. I give a "Very good" for the collection. It could be a 5/5 as the guards (nuns) could give a little more intelligible explanation. The collection is incredible. Especially the large and small sculptures are a vissit more than worth. This gives that the many churches in the city are giving a blank impression. The explanation: art was hidden during many wars and occupations of the city and never returnd to there original place.
