The prices for this hotel was only around £60 a night all-inclusive for two people. The prices fall in September and excellent value at this value hotel. The hotel is one of three on site, the other two of which are more modern but ours was just fine. The room we had ,had two bedrooms and a balcony on each room. The hotel had a pool which was nice, but the water a bit cool. There was also a table tennis table, which was great as I love playing table tennis.

The food in the restaurant had a really good selection of food ,with something for everyone for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Drinks of beer, soft drinks and coffee also included in the price as well as all the food. We really enjoyed all our meals. It was really very good value to get all this at such a good price. The restaurant was very well laid out and very clean. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful and our room was always cleaned nicely.

The old town was very interesting and we visited several places which was very easy to get to by taxi or a lovely boat trip.We enjoyed all the lovely little places we went to. Overall we were very happy with the hotel, and Zadar was very peaceful and a lovely place to spend our holiday.

As part of a 3 hotel complex, it is set in a very quiet area, with feels safe. Lobby and reception area is huge. Emanuela on the desk was very nice and welcoming!! It's not actually on the beach, set back slightly but it only takes 2 mins to walk down. Drinks are on tap all day. Not branded coke though, but it does the job. The buffet is very good. A range of good meats, fish, vegetarian options. Deserts are ok. Not as good as British cakes though! Overall a good stay.

This is my review of Hotel Donat with some travel tips. We noted that the prices fall a lot from mid-September so we managed to get a room here for around £60 a night all-inclusive for two people. The hotel is one of three on the site, the other two of which are more modern but this one is fine. The room we were given included two bedrooms with double beds, each with a balcony, separated by a corridor with a sink, and a bathroom. The hotel has a small pool, and there is a free-to-use table tennis table.

The all-inclusive package included breakfast, lunch and dinner, with drinks available from the bar from 10am to 10pm (the bar is open to 11pm). The free drinks are all self-service, with wine, beer, soft drinks and coffee (from machines but using fresh coffee beans). We liked it that they use proper 200ml classes and cups, not the plastic cups that many all-inclusive cups wastefully use. There are plastic cups available for taking out however.

As we arrived late we were given a bag of food which was pretty unpleasant in taste, but fortunately we found the food in the restaurant to be very nice with a large, fresh selection. We enjoyed every meal there and it really is outstanding value to get all this for such a good price.

The service was very good, the room was cleaned well, the restaurant kept well-stocked (and it was not crowded), and the receptionists were helpful. On our last day we were allowed to have lunch and to continue having free drinks during the afternoon until we left.

A few minor improvements would be to offer water at the bar (it is available in the restaurant only) and to improve the quality of soft drinks in the bar (they are better in the restaurant). Coffee stirrers are plastic, would prefer to see spoons to reduce waste.

The location of the hotel is lovely, metres from the beach and surrounded by trees. The old town is about a 50 minute walk, or Taxi Denis will get you a car there for only 30kn (under £4) if you ask for a car to Branimar and walk across the bridge as that saves a longer drive round. There is also an hourly tourist novelty train which charges 30kn per person.

For days out, definitely visit Nin - a beautiful little down with a wonderful beach with a mountain backdrop and view of islands. Taxi Denis charged is 130kn each way to go there. You can also get a regular ferry from the Old Town to Preko for around 15kn each way. Note that many ferries go from the new ferry port, but some go from the old town. For a longer trip, an all-day boat trip to the Kornati islands cost us 300kn each including lunch from a beach seller on the beach outside the hotel - that was a cheaper price than others charged for the same trip so we were pleased with that. Oh, and the taxi to and from the airport cost 150kn each way.

We visited Donat for only one night
Rooms are small , dirty and in very bad condition.
The only positive we found was the Park where it is located.
Price 136 € per room we think is extremely high for its bad quality.
Its full of groups propably at very low cost.

I have nothing bad to say. Everything is great. Polite staff, accommodation, excellent food. A lot of vegetables and fruits that we did not have in any hotel like in Donat. Yes, the rooms are small and old but clean and air conditioned. Hotel directly to the sea. The only thing I would write as a negative thing is that the dining room have bad air-condition.
Very good value for money.
I will come again!
