Roman ruins are beautifully displayed across the plaza in the middle of the town...mothers watch as kids climb on them, friends chat as they lean against a piece of a column, a tour passes through headed to the sea organ and the promenade. I've seen a lot of roman ruins in my travels, but this display was so simple it struck a cord with me. Somehow putting my hands on the broken pieces of history, told me more about this place than any previous venue. Wander through the main street of Zadar and you won't be able to miss the Forum...but take a moment to pause as you move through.
