“Really Cool Set-Up, Mediocre Atmosphere”
Reviewed May 2, 2014

The room set-up is really innovative - I loved the pull-down shades on the bunks to block light. the location is also absolutely incredible, and I would definitely recommend this hostel above any of the others in Zadar for precisely that reason. However, perhaps because the bunks are so separate (or perhaps because it is still so early in the season), the atmosphere was essentially zilch. The common room space was empty every time I stopped by and fellow travelers seemed to keep very much to themselves. This is definitely one of the more "business" like hostels I've stayed in - feels a little more industrial, but great location and spotlessly clean.

Room Tip: Maybe ask for a room further from the bell tower? It rings quite loudly, quite early. I'm not su...

Dear Guest,

thank you for taking the time to review our hostel in such precise way. We are more than happy to hear you liked our bunk beds and the rest of hostel. As for the atmosphere in hostel, we could probably ascribe it to the off season when there is not so many guests in hostel. Anyway, hope you will come one day during the peak season and experience some of our "parties" in the garden :)
P.S. we have two rooms that are located on the back of the building; if you book one of them, you will not have the best view, but you will reduce the lovely bell tower sound :)

Went to this hostel whilst hitch hiking in April it's a really nice and modern hostel! It has a nice room decor. The one bad comment I have is that the space is a bit tight but it's manageable! Would recommend it as it's in a really good location and has a nice window view into the town centre

Dear Guest,

thank you for taking your time to write us a review. We are happy to hear you liked your stay at our hostel. The lack of space inside of 4bed dorms is a thing we, unfortunately, cannot fix. We realise it can be a problem when room is full, but we try to convince ourselves that rooms are used only for sleepover. That's why we created several common rooms :D

Above all, thank you once again and hope to see you on your next hitchiking adventure ;)

Best regards from Zadar

The space is very tight, I had to take all my things to the common space outside to pack my bag. However since the place is new, the bed was extremely clean and pleasant. I really liked how the bed were designed to keep privacy in a very small space. The front desk was fine but not always that informative but I really liked the bed. I had great sleep. Location is great and the view from the window was excellent. Don't look too much into the 'breakfast to go'. I read the reviews before booking and it was just small 3 pieces of breads that personally wasn't a surprise since I already knew and the combination didn't work for me. But the package looked nice. I will upload a picture later. I took a cab from the zadar main bus station because the front desk didn't know how to get to the hostel but on the way back I took bus 2 (also 4 will bring you there) to zadar main bus station from hostel.

Dear Guest,

thank you for your review. It is nice to know you find our beds clean & comfy. As for the "mini breakfast to go", we are very sorry to hear you didn't like home made pastry with bread and croissant. We suggest you, if we'll ever have a pleasure to accommodate you again, to try our "real" buffet breakfast. It is not gratis as this one, but some say it is worth.

As for the front desk that didn't know the way to the hostel, it is a bit hard for us to believe our colleagues do not have that information since they pass through that route to get to work each day, but we will definitely take a look into that situation.

After all, we really hope you will come and visit us again, at least to try a different breakfast ;)

Best regards from Zadar

Dear Guest,

thank you for your precise rates of our services. We couldn't ask for more :)
The only thing we wish if you could've told us about the noise that night so we could intervene and help but at least now you know you can tell us about that next time you come here :)

Thank you and best regards from Hostel Forum staff ;)

This is hands-down one of the best hostels I have stayed at.

Great location, good price. The overall setup is brilliant with lots of beautiful and ingenious design elements, if only other hostels could be like this. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this place to anybody visiting Zadar.

This hostel is in the best location in the Old Town of Zadar. It is in the very center of the town and is very close to restaurants and cafes. The hostel has an art-deco style to it. It has great facilities including a kitchen, a common room and vending machines.

The bedrooms have a very cool layout and a great view out on to the square. We stayed in a 4-bed dorm and the bunk-beds are designed in a way that everybody has their own cubicle. However, the room is a little cramped especially for 4 people. There are drawers to put your luggage in but there is very little in terms of outside space, that is to say, no table space (for 4 people), only 2 chairs were provided and there was very thin walking space. The other thing was that the toilet and bathroom were separate- okay fine! But they are at two different sides of the room which got a little annoying.

It wasn't bad at all. We liked staying there and we got it for a good price. We even received a little booklet with a map of the town, recommend things to do, places to eat and some very useful Croatian phrases. The staff were SO friendly and MORE than helpful. I would stay here again but probably in a separate room.

Dear Guest,

thank you for taking your time to leave us a review. It is nice to hear you had a nice stay at our hostel. As for our 4-bed dorms, unfortunately, we are aware of the fact there is not so much space around. We would be more than happy to put 4 chairs inside ot the room, but of course, there is enough space only for 2 :/ However, as there is nothing we can do about creating more space, at least for now, we want to believe our guests come to the room only to sleep over, and the rest of the day spend in our common rooms or exploring our beautiful town.

Above all, we really hope we'll see you once again. Then, we'll be happy to show you our private rooms with more space inside :)

We went there in August 2013 with my girlfriend for 1 week.

The room was very nice and very design. The hotel employees were all very likely to help you and that was very pleasant :)

The location is awesome just in the middle of the old town in the middle of shops and restaurants.

On the whole, we had a really nice stay there for 1 week for affordable price. I totally recommend it for a nice stay !
