A relatively new pearl of mid-Dalmatia located about 10 miles northwest of Zadar, belonging to the Austrian Falkensteiner chain of hotels. Spacious garden, but the pool doesn’t seem to be enough for 400 guests. The seashore is definitely not suitable for bathing in summer. The wave-shape hotel itself is a relaxing island of peaceful rest. The qualified and trained staff is polite. The meals are creative. I was told that we’ll get a choice of three different meals for dinner. The choice of meat, fish and vegetarian sounded a bit scary and seemed to be pauper, but the offer is an extraordinary assortment of delicacies. I adore details, so let me just mention the ravioli with ice cream; the candle that doesn’t melt down, but vaporing; mascarpone with fresh fruit, the savory deer… Finally I mustn’t forget the Black Spa, the dark, relaxing mixture of oriental indulgence and Scandinavian wellness. A luxurious hotel in a raw and wild neighbourhood, the snow covered peaks of Velebit in the Background in wintertime. Challenging. Flip-flops are the present of your host.Black pearl of the A
