“Zoran, the best host and hotel owner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2012

We stayed for 1 week in this hotel and used it as our base in exploring Zadar. I can only say that all that all the good things that has been written about this hotel is, indeed, true. Zoran is the best host and hotel owner who will see to it that your stay in Zadar will be a memorable one. We will definitely go back at this hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-day stay at Pansion Maria. Zoran treats you like family and is one of the friendliest hosts I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He really took care of us and took extra time to educate us about the area and various excursions on offer. The room was very nice and clean, with air-con and a balcony.

Nothing to dislike really... It must be mentioned that Pansion Maria is a 15-20 minute walk to the old town but it is priced fairly. Hotels that at closer at much more expensive. We didn't find the walk to be an issue but some might.

Pansion Maria is a very good value kind of place. Zoran the owner takes his job as your Host rather very seriously.!! Best tips for dinning, site seeing, half price Taxis. You need it ..??...Zoran delivers with a smile.

Room Tip: Rooms on the Ist foor better bet. Stairs are pretty steep to the next level.

Pansion Maria is located in a quite area of Zara. The city centre is at least 25 minutes on foot, the walk passes by the port and there are many nice views to see.
Zoran, the owner, is a really nice person, kind, sociable and really helpful in every situation.
The room was ok, a little bit small, but good for a short period of stay. Unluckily –maybe because of the time of year- there was a strong scent of fresh paint and the shower handle was broken.
Breakfast was good and satisfying. In the end, it is a good place to stay, with basic furnishings and very kind people.

Friendly welcoming host, quite a good location to the tourist sites and restaurants but our room was so compact we could hardly turn around - not really designed for travellers with two large suitcases. The bed was only a double and not particularly comfortable. Breakfast was just okay.

Very nice place - highly recommended. Multilingual and very accomodating staff. Not in the centre of the city, but with good buses and a relatively short walk to the interesting and useful sites

Zoran was a great host and there was nothing additional needed for our stay. This is not a fancy accomodations place. This is a clean, basic room with an excellent breakfast and lovely patio. What makes this place exceptional is the service. Zoran will answer any question at any time of the day. Restaurant, activities, random sightseeing or facts - he's got it taken care of.
