Rooms are well furnished and equipped with all necessities. Very spacious and with amazing view from the balcony.

We stayed here for week and we were really looked after. Our apartment right at the top was wonderful with amazing views of the sea and right over to Zadar town where we could watch the ferries coming and going. Anna was fantastic and arranged everything for us from day trips to the National Parks to taxis into town and always tried to save us money. Vey clean and tidy. You can ask for what you want for breakfast and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. The apartments are a little way out of Zadar town (there are hardly any hotels in the centre) but buses are frequent and taxis are cheap. You can walk to the seafront in around 15 minutes. I would definitely recommend staying in these lovely apartments as the friendliness and helpfulness of Anna really made our holiday.

Room Tip: There are a lot of stairs to the top floors which weren't a problem for us but if you want a roo...

Our group of four stayed for one night in April and had a pleasant stay in one of the apartments on the top floor of the villa.

The apartment consists of a bedroom at the back and is connected via a hallway to the bathroom and living room/dining area (which contained a large sofa bed that was very comfortable). The place was modern and very clean. Unfortunately, it was raining and cold the night we arrived, and we did not realize that the air conditioning unit also can provide heat. It made for a cold night of sleep for all of us. (Nevertheless, the unit is located in the living room, and it might be difficult for the heat to reach the back bedroom.)

The location is as described, in a quiet suburb outside of the Old town. Very close 10 min drive to the sights.

As for the breakfast, I found it extensive for a continental breakfast - boiled eggs, cheese, slices of ham/sausage, cereal, yoghurt, and bread. It is served buffet style, which really suited my travelling companions, who had hearty appetites. I have no complaints about it.

The highlight of Villa Valentina is Ana. She is extremely knowledgeable and helpful - providing us with a map with highlights of the city, restaurant recommendations and the like. In fact, she goes above and beyond, providing advice for our onward journey down the Dalmation coast. (She pointed out the town of Sibenik, which I had entirely overlooked in the guidebook. I highly recommend it!) The hospitality industry has a lot to learn from Ana - her genuine friendliness is truly an asset.

All in all, I recommend Villa Valentina. Keeping in mind the location, I believe it provides excellent value for money for a well-maintained and modern accommodation.

Villa Valentina is a gem. It's a converted elegant villa with well-equipped apartments in a very quiet suburb of Zadar. Ful cooking facilities are provided although there are several nearby restaurants. Access to the city is easy by frequent bus services, the stop being 5mins walk away. Fare is 10Kuna each way. Walking back along the seafront took us over an hour at a leisurely pace.
Breakfast is plentiful if not varied, and they did run out of cereals on one day. The lovely Antonia welcomes you with a smile and brings breakfast to your table as well as cooking delicious scrambled egg to order. On request, we had 'steaming' water for our tea rather than the usual lukewarm. The coffee too is delicious. Didn't try the orange juice: it looked like squash.
Ana is really helpful and enthusiastic. She booked our airport taxi transfers for 20Euros each to save on inflated prices charged to tourists.
She has lots of information at her fingertips and recommended the Kornati island trip, which was very good value.
She arranged car hire for us and gave suggestions for places to visit. The city of Nin and island of Pag were an easy day trip. We also visited Plitvice lakes by car, which was a 2-hour drive rather than the 1.5 hours we were told, but really stunning, the highlight of the holiday.
Although there are many other villas, apartments and rooms available in the area, this one is the best.
Thank you, Ana and Antonia!

Room Tip: Better views from 2nd or 3rd floors, but no lift.

Villa Valentina is an average B&B in many ways: concerning location (far from the center, not according to description), breakfast in fairly dark room, food including a cold boiled egg waiting on the table (although there were very few guests), cold water for tea, some slices of cheese and sausage. Most people do better than that at home. We could not imagine to stay a full vacation week there, for an overnight stay it is ok as it is clean. For the same price we had much better experiences along the Croatian coast.

We only stayed at Villa Valentina one day, but the experience was a good one.

The receptionist (Anna) was very helpful and an excellent source of information (although she underestimated the walking time to the town centre).

The room was neat and tidy, and the breakfast was very ggod.

The old town of Zadar is well worth a visit (I recommend that you catch a bus).

Minor niggle - the wi-fi didn't quite make it to the room, with the signal dropping out just as you crossed the threshold of our second floor apartment, but.....hehe - you could still sit in the restaurant as I did and it worked fine there

Room Tip: If in room wi-fi is important, ask carefully about whether the signal will reach your room

We really liked our stay in this B&B, even if it was for just one night. It started with the fact that we booked wrong and arrived one day earlier as expected. All the apartments where fully booked but there was one spare apartment “in case of emergencies” that was offered to us. As it didn’t have a balcony (and all the other apartments have) they normally don’t rent it. We were happy to take it and we were not charged for the other day. The welcome was really friendly and warm, we felled home immediately. We received good information about how we could reach the old town (by car, foot, bus, taxi), what was there to see, which excursions are available. The room itself was very correct, clean and had airco. WiFi is free and there is a free private car parking available at the house. Breakfast was included in our room price. The B&B is located outside the old town. A short walk (3-5 minutes) from the B&B you had a bus stop, going for the city center (about +/- 10 minutes). The daily operations are run by two young, funny and friendly women. We can surely advise these apartments! It’s a very pleasant, helpful, funny, friendly and warm surrounding to stay.
