As this was our first visit to Croata, by car, after a long trip through Germany, Poland and Hungary, we were looking forward to a relaxing week by the sea. This did fulfill that requirement, although the apartment, advertised with a sea view (which it had) was 204 steps from the rocks and cliffs, at the seafront. This is a very cosmopolitan resort, and staff are efficient and speak many languages. The accommodation is very good, clean and spacious for two people. A larger than normal balcony complete with furniture and clothes drying stand. We could have done with an umbrella, as facing South West provides sunshine almost all day. The two restaurants do not have a lot of atmosphere, but I because English were very short in supply, many of the conversations and noise going on was difficult to follow. The pool lets this resort down, small, crowded and shallow. It needs to be three times as big, or other pools should be available for adults only, as this one was noisy and full of the little blighters. I suppose they have to have a holiday as well !!!! The sunbeds which are in very short supply, are expensive and cost £9 a day for two beds and an umbrella but extremely comfortable. If you are mobile, car wise, there are restaurants around the area, but these are in short supply, and do not seem very tourist orientated, although we found a good one, and returned three times. This resort is a bit out on a limb so its the bus or other means of transport to escape occasionaly. Air Con is an extra, which we did not find necessary. No real complaints and we enjoyed the week in the sun, around 35 degrees.
