A beautiful historical place where you can relax with your family. An important point of interest that must be visited if you arrive in the city.

We saw Queen tribute band here from Serbia . It was a great night of entertainment.
The castle itself has great views over Pula . You can see the cranes light up where the shipbuilding industry was -now has just gone into decline and many jobs lost . It’s a slight hike up the hill to get there , but not too difficult .
You can pay 20 kuna to go in or just look around for free .

We enjoyed the fortress views and the maritime museum...worth the effort if you like history. The views are great from the top of the fortress but if that's all you want then I would just walk around the outside of the fortress for free. We bought the bundle ticket that let us into 6 different exhibitions in Pula.

For a small fee (£2-3), you can enter the fortress which has a few exhibits inside including artwork, a war veteran's journey and old medicines. The best part is the incredible views from the top of the fortress. You can see out on all four sides, across the city and out into the Adriatic.

It is a bit of a slog in the summer heat to climb up to this Venetian castle that 'crowns' Pula. We didn't have time to go in, where there is evidently an extensive museum, however you can walk a full circuit around the walls to get some excellent views over the city.
