So disappointed, we visited in the winter and the columns of the temple were covered with a hideous gold fabric covering. Totally ruined the look, not happy.

It was a very imposing site in the middle of the square. It is very very well preserved considering it was built between the 2 BC - 14 AD. Really a lovely site to see on the route to the Arena through the old town - (Called the Roman route).

The temple of Augustus gives you a good idea of how it must have been during the Roman era. It's a nice market place where you can wander. The little streets in the neighbourhood are filled with art galleries and most definitely worth a visit as well.

Some if the roman ruins in pula are in better condition than in rome itself. The forum is in great condition and interesting. There were not too many people in the square so we got excellent pictures. Not worth going inside though.

If you're interested in history and artifacts, this is definitely worth stepping into. It's much smaller than I anticipated inside (very tall, yes, but not much useful space otherwise) but the artifacts are well presented and I found them interesting.
