“Ok hotel, should be rated with 2 stars instead of 3”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2013 via mobile

Good location of hotel, near Vedurela beach so you can rest for sure. Center of Pula is about 5 minutes by car and 25 by foot. Hotel is renovated, it has friendly staff, but they are a bit slow, so it can take a whille during breakfast to clean up the table.
Food is poor for a 3 star hotel, and needs an improvement in quality, creativity, with more fruit and vegetables during dinner. Rooms are nice, very clean, with air-conditioning which is the best value of this hotel. Balcony is a bit old and needs to be painted, tv is old and bathroom is spaceous, but also needs a hint of new colour.
Swimming pool is ok, a bit small with lack of music and animation.

Overall, if you get some lastminute discount, it's avarage hotel, (to expensive in full price for this value) with clean rooms and friendly staff as it's greatest advantages. beaces are close, (with not so clean sea) Pula center is located near hotel, but overall it should be rated with 2 stars instead of 3.

The hotel is OK in general, clean rooms, nice restaurant but I expected more for the price. The hotel ( and to be honest all hotels in Croatia ) are extremely overrated! For the price of a 3 star hotel in Croatia you get a 5 star hotel elsewhere in Eastern Europe. We had to pay for the wi-fi and to the gym! Breakfast should be better and they lack of staff. The location is not the best either, it is quite far from the downtown. The main positive thing is the pool in the backyard.

I would have given this hotel a one (1), but the beach that is just down the hill from the hotel is beautiful and worth exploring. No sand, just large rock. Was there for a volleyball tournament at an adjacent sports complex so we weren't concerned about local restaurants or things to do. The walk to the city center and arena, while doable, is not advisable since it is not a straight shot, perhaps 30-35 minutes.

I have to agree with previous reviews, old style, dated, communist style hotel with unhappy hotel workers, but that could have just been the fact that there were hundreds of volleyball players from USA and Europe occupying the hotel and running around nightly.

If I were go go back for family vacation, I would not stay here, but would try to come back to the beach for sure.

Stayed here at this hotel which seems it be from the Former Yugoslavis era. And that it is not in it's positive sense. Vast dining room and lounges, but no guests...
The room was tiny, but tidy.
There where no descent restaurants nearby and I am confused an upset that you should have to pay for Wi-Fi access 2013.

The reception staff needs a service course and needs to be taught how to smile to the customer.

I have been traveling for 3 months in Italy, Greece and eastern Europe.and this was by far the worst hotel. I stayed at much nicer hotels for less. Unfortunately they seem to have the mid range niche in Pula this time of the year, which is why I stayed there. Small room, hard beds, snowy (non flat screen)TV with no English (picky, picky). We had to call down to replace the bulb for the main light in the bedroom. The front desk staff were hard pressed to appear glad that we chose to stay there. The housekeeping staff barely gave us a second before they opened the door before 9am in the morning on check out day. At least there was plenty of hotwater for our morning showers. Please think twice about staying at this hotel unless you want to spend good money for a lousy experience.

Room Tip: Ask for top floor, otherwise you WILL NOT GET A VIEW OF THE SEA

the bathtube reminded me to an petri dish i think the mildew was the least of the things which were growing there, i was not sure whether the plaster will stay on the ceiling, there door mechanism of the balkony door was defekt, the telefon did not work, the tv set showed a lot of fallling snow on each channel, the the eggs and sunnysideup at breakfast tasted like fish without bones and was as cold as the temperature in the saloon, i could not identify what components they used to mix the liquid they called coffee, i think they got it from the dockyard nearby. the waitress at the bar went home at 10 p.m. nevertheless 8 men sat there quit dry an thirsty and would have liked to order s.th. ( and as far as i knew them, would would have ordered quite a lot ...! ) nevertheless 48,- €/night for is luxury is quite cheeky !

Room Tip: just avoid hotel "pula" in pula!

At a glance the hotel on the Internet doesn't look bad, until I arrived !! The room was meant to be a double but had 2 wooden single beds pushed together, the carpet hadn't been hoovered in a while and the bathroom well where do I begin!! The bath was the size of a sink with mould in the tiles, the shower curtain was covered in mould and the shower ran like a dripping tap and flies kept coming through the vent in the bathroom during mid day heat. The food is very poor, breakfast was an experience I will not forget under cooked eggs, greasy meats and cheese. Terrible smell of petrol through the corridors after 4pm on both of the nights I stayed. I only stayed 2 nights out of the 8 I had booked and I moved to a much nicer hotel. Pictures are FALSE advertising for the hotel!!!!!!!!!!!!!
