I stopped here after walking along the coast from Pula. There are a few restaurants scattered along the peninsula usually associated with various resorts – however this one came recommended by the owner of my hostel.
There are indoor and outdoor seating - though obviously the views are better outside.
My waiter was friendly and like most waiters in the area he was fluent enough in half a dozen languages as I witnessed him converse in Croatian, English, German and Italian.
I ordered a chicken salad with fries and a Staropramen beer. My drink arrived quickly and was soon followed by a massive salad and a large plate of potato fries. The salad was composed of fresh ingredients (lettuce, tomato, carrot and cheese) while the chicken was a lightly grilled breast that had been sliced into strips. There was no dressing – but then again I didn’t ask for one.
If you’re in the area and looking for a friendly place with fresh food and good views, then you won’t be disappointed with Ambrela.
