Description: Restaurant Ribarska Koliba (Fisherman's Hut) - the Sleeping Beauty has awaken after a hundred year's sleep and has become a favourite destination for lovers of gastronomy and fine wines. Surrounded by pine woods on one side and the crystal blue waters of the Adriatic from the other, Ribarska Koliba is something of a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city. The roof of the restaurant has been transformed into a Lounge Bar with magnificent views of the marina and Verudela Bay. During the day it's a great spot to relax in the gentle breeze enjoying the calm surroundings and atmosphere. In the evening it's a place to gather with friends, sample the wonderful choice of cocktails, enjoy live music and so much more.

We dined at Ribarska because of a recommendation by 2 members of the hotel staff at Park Plaza Verudela (which is a rip-off as well) as we were looking for good seafood meals.
After checking the menu, we found that 220 Kuna (~30 Euro) for 400g of scampi would be pricy, but it is probably worth the money because of the recommendation. We also ordered cuttlefish for 90 Kuna (~12 Euro) and carpaccio as a starter. At the end, we never left a restaurant so angry before!
The carpaccio was still frozen, the scampi menu consisted of 5(!) small scampi with a cheesy risotto. The cuttlefish was made without any love and we had to ask for garlic sauce to make them tasty, On top of that, we had to pay extra for the dry bred that we didn't even ask for!

We ended up paying 550 Kuna and were still hungry.

A pleasant, elite restaurant with excellent cuisine in all seasons of the year. In the summer especially pleasant and nicely decorated terrace. Staff is professional and very friendly. Recommended especially for fans of delicious fish:-) I ate grilled shrips, which were delicious.
Of course with good wish goes well a glass of white wine. Good appetite!:-)

This restaurant has good reviews from outside of the resort it is I so I thought we would give it a try. We arrived pretty early about 7 o'clock. What we arrived to was a lot of tables being reserved in the better parts of the restaurant with the view of the harbor. This would in my opinion be fine but when we left the tables still hadn't been occupied. We were then given the choice of Two tables in the corner when there were other tables available. We were served pretty quickly by a waiter that looked very much like John Cleese. Not very friendly but then a large Italian family arrived and our lonesome twosome lost focus. So we had our drinks but took an age to order our food. Once our food came we were pleasantly surprised. After visiting croatia several times we have discovered that Croatian food isn't that tasty but this wasn't like that. My wife had fried calamaries and I had prawn ravioli. Apart from 1 shell being left on the food was perfectly acceptable. My wife's calamaries was vey good and not greasy and rubbery as we had come expect in Croatia. On service also we were served bread with no side plates. Overall I would recommend to go to this restaurant as its one of the better ones I have visited in this area. It's an added benefit if your Italian as it seems this restaurant caters to them more than other nationalities. The staff all speak perfect Italian.
