“Indian Name - Bosnian food”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

Our host in Dubrovnik told us that we should try the restaurant by name Taj Mahal. We immediately said no as we were not in dubrovnik to eat Indian food and then she clarified that they serve Bosnian food, which was again reiterated by the waiters there when we went. They thought we were 2 homesick Indians searching for Indian food. The food was excellent, the service friendly and fast and we loved the place so much that we came a second time around for dinner before we left Dubrovnik. Both the time we walked in early, by 7sh and when we were leaving , we could see a big line waiting to get in. This place seems to be very very popular and deservedly so.

“Fantastic Bosnian food”
Reviewed October 13, 2013 via mobile

What a great find! You can see why it's difficult to get a table, you'll definitely need to book in advance. Hadn't eaten Bosnian food before but if you like meat, meat and more meat then you won't be disappointed. Some delicious interesting dishes on offer and it's very reasonably priced compared to the other overpriced restaurants in Dubrovnik. Would definitely recommend.

“Great food, friendly service!”
Reviewed October 13, 2013

We had dinner at this restaurant in early October 2013. Food was great, plenty of choice on the menu, delicously cooked dishes. We had the mixed plate of starters, followed by the mixed plate of grilled meat for 2 people - both excellent. Service was very friendly and all in all, we had a great dinner. This is not an expensive haute-cuisine restaurant, but the food they do is delicious and really value for money. Would totally go there again!

“Nice spot to have some lunch, away from the crowds!”
Reviewed October 13, 2013

My husband and I stopped here for lunch on our recent visit to Dubrovnik as we had read the mostly good reviews on here. It's a nice spot to have lunch, away from the crowds of the main Old Town streets. Very good service, comfy chairs, nice location etc. The food was good, nothing special, but nothing wrong with it. I had the Gypsy Skewer (Steak, Veal and Chicken with Veg) served with potatoes and a sauce on the side. My husband had the Half & Half Kebab. The meal was served with Bosnian bread, which is similar to Turkish bread and creamed cheese (very nice). I had a glass of wine (House Red and very nice too) and hubby had a beer (also very nice). The cost was 260 kuna, approx. £30, which was quite reasonable for this overpriced city. I would say give it a try, it's much nicer than some of the other restaurants we tried.
