I stayed here with my two older children for a week. It is a lovely, pristine, clean and welcoming small hotel, with fantastic views over the bay & v helpful, friendly staff.

We moved rooms, as our room was rather dark, but they were very accommodating and moved our bags for us, and there was no extra charge, although it was In June, so slightly quieter than they normally would be. We managed to get a room with a balcony, with views to the garden.

The Cave Bar and the outdoor bar by the bay are great places to enjoy a relaxing snack and drinks during the evening. The breakfast was good and plenty of choice. We liked having our beds turned down every evening, and the complimentary chocolate.

Dubrovnik Old Town is beautiful and well worth a visit. also you can visit Cavtat by boat, which is interesting and a lovely bay, but the boat ride to from Dubrovnik is v relaxing. A fantastic holiday.

Room Tip: Reluctant to tell everyone, but book room on 5th floor, as that is where the sun deck and outdoor po...

We stayed for four nights in July with our teenage son for a city break booked with jet2.

We chose the hotel on the basis of the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor - and we weren't disappointed. This is a magnificent hotel - probably the best we have stayed in.

The location is unbeatable - the hotel is built into a steep hill which rises from the Adriatic. The photographs do not and cannot do it justice. The views from bars, restaurants, pool and sleeping area were just spectacular. We stayed in a garden room (205) and it was fine for three, views a bit limited but we didn't come away to stay in a hotel room, so no problems there at all. The rooms were clean and the beds and pillows were so comfortable. The air conditioning was a boon as the weather was sweltering - we just kept it on low all night and all slept really well.

The staff at the hotel were great - special mention to Vladimir in the restaurant - and they coukd not have been more helpful. We looked around at places to eat but stayed at the hotel every night because the food was so good. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice.

During the mornings we visited places and then sunbathed by the sea with a drink in the afternoon, followed by a refreshing dip in the sea. Dubrovnik old town is hot, very busy and beautiful. No shops but lots of cafes and places to eat. The harbour is restful and a place to sit and watch the world go by. We went on a nice walk around the hotel peninsula and found a great lunchtime place to eat just 200m from the More, away from the bustle of Lapad beach - the Croatian beer and salads here were superb.

Catching the bus into town was a scrum - no need to queue just get stuck in although everyone was polite and there was no pushing and all part of the holiday. Fares were cheap - around 2 euros - and the bus was always full.

Croatia is a beautiful country. It might be the next big holiday destination and this might be shame because Dubrovnik seemed almost at capacity.

A fantastic break. Watch out for Dubrovnik bus drivers though. The airport transfer to the hotel
along a road carved out of a cliff was like a fairground ride!

My husband and I stayed here for 4 days in June. The hotel is in a beautiful setting overlooking the water. The staff is attentive and helpful, rooms are very comfortable. Ours had a balcony. We loved the breakfast and one evening after a long day we came back and a saxophone player was playing on the deck. We were supposed to go to another spot for dinner but ended up staying there.

We stayed here early July 2013 for our wedding anniversary treat. Although we had not booked a sea view, upon arrival, the hotel upgraded our room to a sea view at no extra charge. This was both unexpected and much appreciated. A complementary bottle of bubbly with covering note (placed in our room on the day of our anniversary) was also a generous touch. Suffice to say the hotel's attention to detail is second to none. All the staff were friendly without being obvious, the food, presentation and setting delightful and the cave bar unique, in a magical fairy tale kind of way. I cannot fault the location, ambiance or friendly character of this hotel. Finally, the cove and sea view is simply gorgeous. All in all just perfect.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 201 which was well presented, spacious and comfortable with the attractive cove an...

We have just returned from a week at the Hotel More. The hotel is lovely, clean and well maintained. Our room on the 4th floor had a sea view and was comfortable with a good bed and a strong shower. Breakfasts were good and plentiful and on the evenings that we ate at the hotel we had a very enjoyable meal. The staff are lovely and helpful.

Things to watch out for: the pool is small and the water was not deep enough for us to comfortably swim. It is however great if you have children. The swimming area at the waters edge is a cordoned off part of the sea and consequently is very deep and can be rough. There is no beach and the sunbathing area is a platform next to the sea. This was fine for us and it must be appreciated that this part of Croatia is very rocky and there are very few beaches.

Overall this is a very good hotel which we highly recommend

Room Tip: Its worth paying the extra for a sea view room and the higher the floor the better.
