Good location for beach and old town. Kitchen crockery a bit limited and aged, and washing machine very lengthy but otherwise all was bright and hostess Ingrid was lovely.
Price was more than stated on door rates which was a little disappointing . Would recommend it otherwise as parking was valuable in city.
Ingrid was a pleasure to work with. The apartment is in an excellent location, close to the old town and the beach. We definitely recommend her and her apartments.
My wife and I stayed in Ingrid apartment no.1 for five nights this September. The property is in an excellent location, essentially two minutes walk to the Ploce gate and the city beach. Also there is a grocery store and a cafe close by. The apartment is well-appointed, very clean, and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and on warm nights the air conditioning came in handy. Also in the mornings it was great having breakfast on the rear balcony overlooking Lokrum island and Dubrovnik itself. Ingrid, who lives next door, was the perfect host. She arranged our airport connection, booked a taxi to take us to the bus station for our onward leg to Split, and answered any questions we had. When we arrived there were provisions to get us started and we appreciated the gifts of grapes and chocolate.
All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ingrid apartments. They are so thoughtfully appointed and the location is ideal.
Ingrid's place was clean and welcoming. I appreciated the two beers she left in the fridge! The Old City is a short walk from her house. There is a lovely view of the sea and Old City from the apartment and its balcony. Ingrid was quick to respond both before and during our stay. We would definitely stay here again.
I was a little wary about booking this apartment, as there didn't seem to be very many reviews, however we had a great stay at Ingrid's Apartment. We were there during the "Lucifer" heatwave that hit Europe in August 2017. We caught the airport bus up to the Pile Gate - be warned that in extreme heat you may find it a little too much to wheel your bag up to the apartment. On arrival it was like walking into a fridge - we were so grateful for the air conditioning. We were met by Ingrid, who speaks pretty good English, so we were able to get all the information we needed. The apartment we had (I think she owns all 4 in the block) was a top floor complex with views from the balcony of Lokrum Island and a glimpse of the old town to the right. The apartment had just about everything you could imagine, the only negative we could find is lack of hangers and hanging space - half of the wardrobe was locked and reserved for the owner's use?? The bed was large and comfortable (two twins bolted together) the pillows were a little too deep for us, and a blanket or light duvet would have been appreciated rather than just a sheet. Apart from that, everything was fabulous - the apartment is reasonably well sound insulated despite being next to the main road into Dubrovnik. It felt safe and secure, despite there not being a room safe. The kitchen included a full-size oven and fridge with adequate utensils for self catering. The bathroom has a great powerful shower, and there was even a washing machine.
The apartment is ideal for access to the old town, but be warned there's a lot of steps (113 from memory) that you have to go up and down to reach the centre. Supermarkets and the cable car are close by.
We'd definitely recommend this apartment - it wasn't the cheapest, but not a lot is in Dubrovnik - you may find something similar, but cheaper, further out of the old town.
Booked for four nights, about four months in advance for May 2017. Ingrid returns emails within a few hours. Lives next door to this property so is readily available, if needed. Very clean. Comfy bed. Quiet. Great view on balcony of Adriatic Sea. Small market for groceries just a five minute walk away. Has queen bed-two twins together. Sofa area. Kitchen area with large refrigerator/ table/ with stove-top and sink with dishes, etc. Shower only. Dishwashing liquid available plus hand soap but need to bring other hygiene supplies such as shampoo, etc. Washer available but is it a very small capacity (maybe 3 pair of pants?) plus it was higher priced so just washed out our clothes by hand. There is a balcony with a clothes hangar to dry your items. Free internet with good connections. Just so you understand that this is an apartment, not a hotel, so no daily room clean-up. Very walkable distance to funnicular and to Ploce entrance to city walls. Ingrid made a special effort to tell us that we did not need to check out early as the next person was not arriving until late afternoon. Cash in euros or kunas. Very kind of her to call ahead and to confirm additional reservations in Croatia!
My husband and I stayed in Ingrid's apartment along with our two sons ages 22 and 23 while visiting Dubrovnik. The apartment was spacious, very clean and in a perfect location with a short walk to the old town and beach. She greeted us upon arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!
