After enduring a 5:30 AM departure flight from a very chilly London, arriving at the very crowded Pile gate, then simply disappearing down some steps for a 4-minute walk past an incredible harbor and narrow alleyways, we climbed up to the last house and rang the buzzer. W were almost immediately showered with flower petals by our darling host Nada in honor of our honeymoon and were lead to the balcony. I can't begin to describe the magical feeling of looking down into an Adriatic cove with the cliffs and the sea from our own private balcony. Nada had also given us a bottle of wine and home-made cherry liquor for our honeymoon- yum! The rooms were airy and bright with a comfortable bed and everything you could need. We immediately descended to the cove, swam in the sea, then climbed up to a tiny cove-side bar for bruschetta, sandwiches, and beer while admiring our home above us. If that isn't heaven I don't know what is. We were able to even pick out our rental from the top of the mountain and city walls!!! I can't imagine a more perfect location for visiting Dubrovnik as we were a five-minute walk from the old town but removed away from the noise of the tourists. Just incredible. Make no mistakes and book this rental. You will not regret it. Thank you so much Nada for sharing this gift with us!!

“Excellent appartment”
Reviewed July 2, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

My husband & I stayed here last week & were certainly not disappointed, Nada is charming, she brought us cake, water & her home made liqueur all very much appreciated. The villa was very clean, had everything we needed..washing machine was a bonus, bed was very comfortable, the outside terraced area was superb & the views were amazing. We were sad to leave & would not hesitate to go back to stay here again, as someone else put on TA if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Dubrovnik look no further than villa lovrenc

Villa Lovrenc is situated in a small rocky bay beneath the Kastel a few 100 meters from the city wall. From the terrace you overlook the sea and the rocks and in the room you hear the sea.
Nada is an excellent host. She speaks perfect English and is very knowledgable about all the nice places in Dubrovnik ( things to see where to eat etc). She even arranged a garage for our rental car .
Highly recommended

“Waterfront. Fabulous location. Beautiful apartment”

We have had 8 nights here in Dubrovnik and have loved every minute.
The apartment is really lovely, it has its own private entrance. A big bedroom that looks down onto the swimming bay, spacious modern kitchen that leads onto a large patio which also looks over the bay. Separate bathroom with a bath and washing machine/dryer.
All appliances high quality. We loved the big patio with its table and chairs and 2 lounges. For lazy days we would eat breaky, pop down for a swim then lay on our recliners for the afternoon. In the bay there is also a cliff bar which is great for a cold beer after the swim. Ive attached pictures of the bay.
As for the location you are honestly 2 min walk to pilegate entrance to the old city and its sights, restaurants and tourist operators.
As for restaurants in Dubrovink highly recommend Pantarul, Restaurant Dubrovnick and Azure. My husband enjoyed the Irishbars in the oldtown to catch up on the rugby and we also loved a predinner drinks and a cheeseboard in the wine bars of the old town. Highly recommend you visit the old town before 10am or after 4pm as during day its packed with tourists off the ships. Another favourite thing we enjoyed was a late dinner and then wandering around the city listening to music that was playing in the different bars. Lots of jazz which was great.
To finish off our host Nada is special, she made us very welcome and spoilt us with wine and cake.
Highly recommend this apartment

As with other reviewers we could not fault this apartment. It was well equipped with everything we needed for a self catering holiday, the location was perfect and last but not least the hospitality we received from Nada and her family was exceptional.

Dubrovnik itself is a beautiful place and you are literally on its doorstep here but can escape the hustle and bustle in your own little oasis. The outside terrace is just perfect. The cove the apartment overlooks is great, there is easy access to swim and a lovely little beach bar for a refreshing drink or two. There is a lovely traditional restaurant Sesame just around the corner and the bars/restaurants of the old town are just 5 minutes away.

We stayed for a week but could have stayed a lot longer as there is so much to see and do using Dubrovnik as a base. We will be back.....as long as we can stay at Villa Louvrenc as this accommodation is what made our holiday special. Book it if you can.

I agree with the plus points listed in the other reviews. I’ll try not to repeat too much and add a bit.

We had a wonderful week here. The outside space is lovely to relax in. The sound of the water outside is wonderful. The bay is beautiful for swimming, the water was so calm and clear, and you can watch the boats sailing past. There are steps into the water so you don’t have to walk barefoot across stones to get in. The water was warmer than I expected. It wasn’t a busy beach in June. It was lovely to swim after the heat of walking round in the old town.

The apartment is a great retreat from the crowds, but just a couple of minutes away from the old town. The directions we were sent got us straight there a few minutes after stepping off the airport bus. Many local buses also stop nearby and it is very easy to get around by bus - e.g. to Port Gruz to get a ferry to an Island for a day.

Our hosts were very attentive but never intrusive. There was homemade liqueur for our arrival along with water and wine. We had fresh cherries delivered, homemade cake and even a surprise cheese and ham platter. They are really warm people and made our stay special.

The apartment is very well equipped. The wifi is good. Aircon is great.. And the bed is just so comfortable…

I am so glad we stayed here, just sorry that I am not still there :-)

“I could not fault this apartment or it's location!”
Reviewed June 24, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Like previous reviewers, this is the best apartment I have ever booked. Others have reviewed the apartment, let me tell you about the location. With it's own terrace overlooking the sea, just outside the old city walls and beneath the imposing fortress, the villa has easy access to an excellent swimming bay. If you want a location close to everything but quiet and with the sound of the sea on the rocks below, this is it - I swam everyday it was so good. Your hostess (Nada) used to run the best hotel in the old Yugolsavia, so she knows what she is doing - have fun!
