“Good Situation”
Reviewed June 20, 2014

This hotel is like so many hotels which say they are 5 star. The reception area was lavish up to 5 star standard (I loved the turkish delight on the front desk) but I am not so sure about the rooms. The bed was fantastically comfortable and the room was largish but the furniture left a lot to be desired. The view from the room on the 9th floor was amazing though I did object to the Cruise Ship blowing its whistle at 7.00 am one morning as it left. We stayed for three days and chose this hotel because it was near the Old City. Walking to the Old City in the heat of the summer is not something I would like to do but in May was OK though the walk back was quite hard so got a taxi after the first time. The rooms were very cleand and we had no problem with the bed linen or towels. The service of the main desk was extremely good. We only had breakfast in the hotel but found the staff less than attentive. The food was very good and plenty of selection.
We had dinner most evenings in the old town and there is so much selection it is hard to say where to specifically go but we did have dinner one night in the restaurant in the Hotel BelleVue (Vapor) next door and that was wonderful if expensive and well worth it.
To sum up - good clean friendly hotel in a good position for the Old City.

Room Tip: The higher up the better.

Spent 3 nights, the hotel was apparently fully booked, but aside from midday around the pool we didn't see that many other guests. All the staff were great and the barman in the Pool Terrace bar made some of best Mojitos I've had - and I've had plenty! we cabbed into town a few times, and cabs easily available. Ate in the hotel twice and both meals good and not too expensive. Can also recommend the Spa for treatments. Generally this is more a couples hotel, very few families with young kids or groups of girls/guys, in fact my friend and I were a small handful of the people there who weren't a couple.
Bathrooms have some privacy issues, as when you walk in the room you can see straight into the bathroom as there is no door. otherwise clean rooms.

This hotel was generally excellent. Its one fault was the heat inside the communal areas of the hotel. The hotel is built like a conservatory with a glass roof (it has palm trees growing in the atrium). Consequently the reception areas and in particular the corridors on floors 11 and 12 get very hot. Other than this we couldn't fault it. The rooms were a good size. The breakfast was excellent. Staff were always pleasant (although we waited rather a long time one day for outdoor bar service). The pool was lovely with plenty of loungers.
We booked this hotel because of its proximity to the old town. It really was only a 15 minute walk in, mainly downhill and we got a taxi back (about £5). This made it easy to walk in for sightseeing in the morning and come back to the hotel for some relaxation, heading back to town to eat in the evening.
Walk the walls early evening, this means you miss the daytime heat and the crowds.

Room Tip: Standard rooms without seaview are on floors 11 and 12

We booked this hotel for its location (15 mins walk from the old town) and view over the Adriatic. We were really pleased with it - our room was comfortable (perhaps a little small if you had a lot of luggage and were there for a week - we stayed for 4 days) and the staff were generally very friendly and concerned about their work (don't agree with some of the other reviewers' comments). We spent a lot of time exploring Dubrovnik but the hotel had plenty to offer when we were there - bars, a great fitness room and a spa. We used the outside pool on the terrace where the sun loungers are and I swam in the sea too. There is an indoor pool too for cooler times of year. The breakfast buffet was great and we had two meals in the hotel in the evening - the buffet on one night was ok and the other time we ate at the fish restaurant which was great. One small gripe was the air con was a bit poor in places and turned off too quickly in some areas (when we had walked up the hill on a hot afternoon or evening it made it uncomfortable).

Room Tip: Take care on the room size if you are staying for more than a few days.

Excellent, well serviced sea view rooms. Good pool and access to sea. Not far from bus to Pile gate (no. 4 - every 20 mins). Guest relations desk helpful in printing boarding pass for return flight. Restaurant staff gave very poor service at breakfast, although good range of food. Never used restaurants outside of breakfast.

Have stayed in this hotel twice now and would recommend it. The views are gorgeous and rooms lovely. Breakfast has a good range of food however the cooked breakfast wasn't that nice but there was loads of other food to choose from. The hotel is close to the old town about 12 min walk downhill and you can always get the bus back up the hill. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: The second time we went we booked a deluxe room and it was larger than the one we had the previous y...

We spent a week in Dubrovnik. The old town is wonderful and this hotel is only a 20 min walk away. The rooms are spacious with lovely views across the Adriatic sea.The food was fabulous especially the range of cold dishes and desserts. The hotel is new and very clean. The spacious pool area is surrounded by an assortment of single and double sunbeds, swing seats and daybeds. There is a small private beach into crystal clear waters.Wifi is free and the staff friendly and helpful.I thoroughly recommend this to anyone wanting an interesting holiday in one of the most attractive Adriatic coastal resorts

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view room
