Were upgraded as we arrived. Mentioned our wedding anniverisary and a bottle of champagne and choclate cake arrived. Staff were friendly especially on reception.Location fantastic as long as you didn't mind being as far away from the old town. Bus service was fantastic - right outside and frequent. Not a cheap hoiday food and drink wise and food lacked imagination. That said we didn't have a dodgy meal all week. Hotel prices were dear but menu of the day was good value. Rooms were fab loved the dressing gowns and slippers. Lovely seating areas. All in all a brilliant break!

we had booked sea view rooms but as we didn't get rooms facing the sea we believed we didn't get the correct rooms. We complained to Reception Manager who advised that our rooms were classed as sea view, however, we were the guests and if we didn't believe we had sea view then we were right! What could she offer us? We sorted it out to our satisfaction. We have never experienced this reaction in all of our travels. The Hotel is on a rock ledge and you have to climb down a ladder to the sea to swim. There are 2 salt swimming pools. Rooms are large, very comfortable and luxurious with large bathrooms, slippers and robes. Great breakfast. free parking and lots of assistance by staff. Loved our stay.

As others have stated on the site, we were upgraded on arrival from the Neptun to the Ariston. What a great start to the holiday, and thanks to the hotel, who didn't make a big deal of it. The suite in the Ariston was a dream, with what must be one of the best views on the Croation riviera. Location ,location makes this group of hotels in my opinion the best on the Babin Kuk peninsula, and we looked at the many others near by. The only down side was the cost of food and drink...please drop your prices and you'll sell more! Buses into Dub. are minutes away, and there's always one waiting (buy tickets at reception) and talking of travel, get the airport transfer it only costs 35 Kuna, from the main bus station. A taxi to there costs 70 kuna. The total cost is half of a Taxi, airport to hotel.
Oh, the sun terrace and swimming areas are great too, and although they are on a hard surface it has been landscaped well. Could the hotel please clean up cigarette stubs, again this would make a big difference to non smokers as it spoils many areas. I know this is difficult as you do have ash trays but many smokers are lazy!!
Lets not finish on a negative, If you want a superb location and great staff stay at this group. Oh, and please upgrade us to the Villa Elita on our next stay, you'll know what I mean when you visit and pass this part of the 'Importanne Resort' on the lovely coastal path that runs to Lapad. Food, there are two marvelous seafood Restaurants NR, one next to the villa called the Lamprad and the other across the road nr the bus stop calledf the Komin which has a great 'barby' inside where you can see the food being cooked.
Highlight of the trip was a concert in the church of the Holy Redeemer opposite the Onofrio fountain, this was magical and well woth the ticket price of 100 Kuna.

Just home on Saturday the 29th of August after a 12 night stay at the Ariston Hotel,,brilliant Holiday, was in dubrovnik for my brothers wedding..great holiday destination..couldnt fault the Ariston at all..great location,,much better than being located in the old town as its too hot in there,,nice to be out of town and to be near the sea..you can dive in off the rocks at the Ariston..its a short distance from the old town by bus..and transport is cheap..we spent two night at the 5 star Hilton imperial which was lovely also, but the Ariston is really just as nice in my view..The Ariston is also a five star..the Ariston is nicer than the Neptun Hotel which is also part of the Importanne Resort,, the Ariston is more modern and more recently built.. I definitely would recommend this hotel. great facilities and very friendly staff. If anybody has any questions for me email me at sullymj@eircom.net

I booked two rooms at the Hotel Neptun and was able to get upgraded on check-in to the more modern Hotel Arison (they're all part of the same complex).

In terms of location, it's not next to the old city but it really depends what you're looking for. By staying here, you get access to their private beach (which is a huge plus) and can get to town quickly by the bus for €1-2 per person or €10 for a taxi (which is much better if you're with a group or family). We found it perfectly convenient for this, and would readily swap having a nice private beach for being right next to the old city.

The room was nice with a good view over the bay, and the bed and bathroom nice and clean. Try to get one of the top 2 floors as the bottom level is obstructed by trees. The staff are very friendly and useful with questions.

Free breakfast buffet was decent with lots of options for fruit, cereal, bacon, eggs, etc. The only poor aspects were the scrambled eggs and coffee, but I liked everything else.

If you're looking for some good quiet and comfortable sunbathing and swimming, as well as some sightseeing and nice dinners, then I think this is a decent option and worth paying a bit more for. If you're not a beach person, then clearly you'll prefer something closer to the old city. We thoroughly enjoyed.

Booked the Neptune (Bookings .com)but on checkin (this is a hotel complex part of the Immportanne Resorts complex) got put in the Ariston(really an upgrade). These rooms are brand new. The whole complex is superb. Breakfast and is fantastic and if you use the onsite resturant and get there early you can get the best table in the corner and see the sun go down. Its the boxxxxxs!!!!.We drove there -theres no parking in Dubrovnik and you dont need a car there anyway. The hotel is at the end of a bus line and they run every 15mins to the old town which is the end of the line aswell so its easy to fathom. Cheaper tickets are available in recetions and the servise runs till 12.30am.
Cant wait to go back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dont eat at the Hotel More down the path. V Expensive ,poor servoce and not very nice either.
