We stayed for two weeks here at the beggining of August with our expectations being far exceeded. The appartment we shared was spotlessly clean and well equiped with a good sized bedroom with air conditioning, a good bathroom with a washing machine and large living area and kitchen. We were on the bottom floor meaning our patio type area did not have a view of the old town but still had a stunning view of the island Lokrum which we were well pleased with. The small market is a short walk with the Bikers bar next door (a good stop off when walking home after one of our many amazing evening meals). The town itself is a mere 10 minute walk and there are easier routes than the steep steps closest to the apartment but Dubrovnik itself is quite hilly with alot of steps when walking. The owners were outstanding upon arrival due to the room being 10 minutes from being ready we were given beer and a seat in the sun together with appologese. We were given welcome gifts of local produce and fruit as well as local wine, which is very nice. While there the owners 87 year old mother would often pay visit with grapes grown on the property which we were very thankful for. The owners were always very approachable and would always enter conversation with exceptional English.

By way of warning if you are looking for hotel style accommodation find yourself a hotel but if you are looking for independane and privacy look no further. Out of fairness I would say the one slight improvement was that the oven either didn't work or I was being dull and wasn't working it properly (which is likely) meaning we only had the hob but only wanted to use the oven once to warm some coissants.

We have just spent 8 glorious days at Sipa Apartments. Our apartment (A) was fantastic and was well appointed with equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a lovely lounge area. All very clean and maintained! The Lounge and both bedrooms opened on to two lovely balconys overlooking the beautiful Adriatic Sea, Dubrovnik Old Town and Lokrum Island. We were absolutely in awe of this beautiful coastline and spent every night sitting on our balcony watching the Cruise Ships, Yachts and boats - then the lights of the Old Town! The Old Town is located within 10 minutes walk down the hill - however there are short cuts with less steps. We quite enjoyed out daily work out walking into town. There is a mini supermarket within 5 minutes walking down the hill also should you not wish to venture too far! The owner, Bozo and his wife Maruska are the most charming couple and really went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay (whilst giving us privacy also). Bozo dropped in some fresh figs a few times and left us a lovely bottle of wine. We arrived early and our apartment was still being cleaned, so Bozo sat us down on the balcony next door and gave us a few cold beers and Maruska bought us a sandwich - just lovely hospitality. We even enjoyed a glass of wine with them on our last night. Bozo and Maruska are very interesting people and we certainly learned alot about Croatia's history from our chats. Thank you Bozo and Maruska - a holiday in beautiful Croatia that will always be very special to us!

Room Tip: Apartment A for exceptional views - family with 2 children or adults sharing.

I stayed here with my parents for one week and in the end we did not want to leave!
The walk to the city or beach is a nice work-out but very fast. The bus stop and a small grocery store are nearby as well. The hosts speak several languages (Serbian-Croatian, English and German) and are very helpful. The rooms offer a great view, A/C, and a good choice of TV channels. All in all excellent!!!

The apartment has the most spectacular views...Nicely furnished and a very comfortable huge bed which is in fact 2 singles pushed together. The apartment is not luxurious and had just a shower over the bath with a curtain, which could be better, also very limited cooking utensils, tiny tea cups and odd glasses. The towels although clean were very old even had holes in them... The old city is very beautiful and the buildings are in such good condition it puts the rest of Europe to shame. The restaurants are all catering for tourist so very hard to find typical Croation food which is such a shame. Cruise ships come in ever day so the place is jam packed with all nationalities........however if you have any issues with walking or steps be aware that the one bedroom apartment is down a very steep slope followed by 55 steps...also the walk into the old city can take in another 206 steps and our first trip in took us down another 200 odd steps.... walking back up hill is also an issue. The Taxies are also expensive before you step in its £3.50 and although a short distance cost us £7 !!!

Thanks for nice review. Regarding steps whole Dubrovnik is on hills so relatively speaking Sipa apartments are well positioned in this regard ( directly next to road), in comparison with rest of the 70 percent of town, what is above the level of our road. Also from the sea level of the Old Town one can walk directly by the road to the Sipa using the road ( above mentioned ) that does the oval circle( 400 meters longer) without steps too.
Here are mentioned the longest steps(second in direction of Old Town), instead the first steps that lead from reception of hotel Argentina, are in shade and shorter(approx.160 steps).
Especially furniture is mentioned. Furniture is done by famous factory STILLES from Slovenia, from true wood, and not from plywood, like many others.
Excuse us for hole in towel. We informed our maid, and it will not repeat again .

This is a private residence rented out to tourists. We were two couples who shared this two bedroom apartment or townhouse overlooking Dubrovnik Harbour and Old Town . FABULOUS view of the harbour and Old Town . Great balcony .Very spacious and very comfortable apartment .No maid service . Furnishings are basic but the bed and bedroom that we occupied (the master bedroom with a queen sized bed ) were fine . I can't really speak for our travel companions who , very considerately , took the room with the two single beds . Two bathrooms with adequate but small showers . Small but adequate kitchen . Living room/diningroom was spacious but could use some more comfortable furnishings for relaxing after a long day in Dubrovnik .

We have just returned from a week in Sipa apartments and can't praise them highly enough! I think we were in apartment 'C' at the lowest level....but still the view was fabulous of Lokrum Island and from the garden below the terrace the Old town could easily be seen. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very well equipped and has a super king bed that was blissfully comfortable. There was constant hot water for showers etc and a full sized oven and fridge.Breakfasts were a delight sat out on the terrace watching the boats chugging out to the islands or backwards and forwards to the cruise ships that anchored just in front of the apartment (lit up like Christmas trees at night......lots of photo opportunities!)
Just a short stroll down the road is the Bikers Caffe (a welcome cold beer on the way back up to the apartment!) and next door to it, a small supermarket which was adequate for daily food supplies and delicious fresh bread.
We went up in the cable car and visited the war museum which we found very moving. We also went on a boat trip to lovely Cavtat ( a must!) where we walked round the peninsular in cool, shady pine forests and ate delicious ice creams! Our only other trip was to Mostar up the beautiful Neretva river....again a must, to see the bridge which has been re-built after the sad destruction of the old one during the pointless and bitter war in the early 90's.
Of course, Dubrovnik is the most amazing place with good restaurants and endless photo opportunities at every twist and turn. It also feels very safe.
We found the Croatian people to be lovely and most speaking very good English and being highly amused at our attempts to utter a few pathetic phrases in their language! Our hosts, Bourga and Morouska (apologies if we have not got the spelling correct!) were so nice and welcomed us with ham, cheese, fruit and a bottle of wine. A big thank you to you both for a very memorable holiday. Highly recommended!!

We stayed 5 nights at Sipa Apartments - spectacular view overlooking Lokrum Island and the old city old city. Buzo and his wife are the most gracious hosts - welcomed us with a bottle of wine and a nice cold beer! The 200 odd stairs are not that difficult really, but the street walk makes it easier for people who don't want the climb. Would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment, just make sure you book the ones with the views!

Room Tip: be sure to ask for a room with a view over the old town.
