This apartment is exactly what you need when you're visiting Dubrovnik. The city can get crazy busy, so where better to escape to than a 30-second walk away into a quiet and secluded lane?!
The amenities in this apartment are luxurious and so comfortable. Bathroom is big and luggage holders are provided to keep things neat (smart!).
We lost a piece of luggage coming into Dubrovnik airport and Marina & Irina were so so helpful and supportive in helping us retrieve it within 24 hours!
Having this apartment to come back to in the middle of a busy day for a break is heavenly. You can refresh yourself and enjoy a break in a quiet place all without leaving the main area of Dubrovnik. It's almost too good to be true, almost!
If you're thinking about it, book it. You will not regret your choice :)
Apartment Pile II is located one minutes walk to the main gate of the Old Town of Dubrovnik and if you wish to explore 3 minutes away is also a lovely swimming inlet and local bars next to the old fort. Restaurants are also 1 minute walk away and recommended if you don't wish to fight the crowds inside the old town. Not only is the location perfect but the apartment has every great amenity you could ever want, e.g not just a washing machine, but the detergent, and portable clothes dryer, iron etc. Communication and directions were brilliant and airport transfer was arranged in the blink of an eye. Thank you Marina and Irina for your attention to every detail in this apartment and I would recommend as the best value in Dubrovnik.
A friend and I stayed at this apartment last week and we loved it. It was easy to find (it's right where the taxi drops you off). Further, Marina met us when we arrived to help us find our way to the apartment. You can see the Pile Gate to Old Town from the street the apartment is on and it's also close to an ATM, supermarket and convenience store for sun screen and other items. Marina was kind enough to allow us to store our belongings ahead of check-in time and after check-out time so we did not have to carry our luggage around town until the apartment was ready. Inside the apartment was also very nice. A large bathroom, kitchen area and decent-sized bedroom. Everything seemed new and the air conditioning worked well. I would highly recommend staying at this apartment as the property is in great condition, is in a great location and has a very affordable price.
We had a lovely stay in this apartment. It was welcoming and clean, and in a great location just outside the city walls. A bakery is very close and sells pastries which we had every morning!
The owners were really helpful and nice to deal with. We enjoyed it so much we wanted to stay an extra night, which was arranged easily. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.
Thankyou for such a nice stay in Dubrovnik, and the welcome treats were a lovely surprise too.
Very modern apartment with every facility we could possibly need during our one week stay in a superb location.
Marina and Irena were great hosts helpfully communicating with us before during and after our visit. Highly recommended.
I cannot say enough that is positive, but let me at least try to be brief.
The apartment is spacious and comfortable, but perhaps even better is that it is a stone's throw from the old town, and I mean a few steps. And it is quiet! Too good to be true? It seemed that way to us. And then there is the feeling that the people who are renting, really care and that does a great deal to make one feel more at home in a city that is new.
Marina is a natural host, as is her daughter Irena. Their English is pretty wonderful as well. In terms of hosting, Marina is kind, professional, reliable, thoughtful, and warm but not intrusive at all. She and her daughter helped us find parking, even though--as they told us-- the best way to get to the city would be without a car (we were traveling south from Italy).
There is a convenience store a few metres away, so you don't feel isolated at all.
It is a wonderful feeling to be in the bustle and congestion and beauty of the old town, but be able to walk up a few steps (another plus, just a few) to peace and quiet and comfort. I would recommend this, as would my husband, unconditionally to the nearest and dearest to us, totally.

Dubrovnik is a very beautiful city with lots to do and to explore. It was very hot as you would expect in August but there are many shady cafes where you can while away an hour. We had a wonderful air conditioned apartment to retreat to at the hottest part of the day. We could sit outside under our parasol and watch the world go by whilst reading a book avoiding the very busy times in the city, then be right in the thick of things in under five minutes!
