“Number 1 attraction in Dubrovnik”

Amazing exhibition of photo's from various wars, including the former Yugoslavia war from the 90's. The pictures speak more than words ever can. I would recommend this above all other museums/sights in the area.

“Interesting”
Reviewed August 30, 2013

I am not a fan of museums but this place was really interesting. I like looking at photographs and these photographs were incredible. Its hard to imagine looking at the photo's that the war there happened less then 30 years ago. It takes about an hour to thouroughly go through the place.

“A must-see, tucked away in the Old Town”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

When I visited, the "enclave" exhibition was on the first floor. These photos will stick with me for a long time to come. Some are shocking, some are provoking, some (after the ceasefire) offer hope...they will all stay with you for a long time. The upper floor was equally powerfull, and featured photos from the wider Balkan conflict and also the war in Sudan. A very moving experience which should be an essential part of a Dubrovnik visit. A good amount of information is available from the reception desk, and thankfully the photos can be contemplated, without distractions of noisy audio or video alongside them.

Before visiting I was not aware of the history and it was great to see what this country went through (and not only Croatia) during the war!

“Thought provoking photographs”

A good place to go to understand Croatia as it is today as a result of the war that tore it to pieces 20 years ago.
