Small hotel with great location in Old Town near Pile Gate. Rooms are small with low ceilings on rooms above first floor, and no view - we faced a walls a few feet away. Breakfast on the 6th floor outdoor eating area was magical with fantastic views and food (brioche toast with homemade jams, great egg dishes and granola/fruit/yogurt option). Service was friendly and helpful - they printed a map for us to help with the next leg of our trip. No elevator - be prepared to climb stairs. No hair conditioner provided.

Room Tip: Choose room on first floor to minimize climbing and to have higher ceilings.

This small 8 room hotel is in a fantastic location inside the old town walls close to Pile Gates. The room and bathroom were quiet, clean, modern and comfortable. Breakfast is served on the roof top which has wonderful city views. There are stairs to rooms and roof top restaurant but if you have trouble with these you will have a lot more trouble exploring the city walls and alley ways! The service and advice from Berry on reception was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel.

There's not a lot of hotels to choose from in this semi-luxury category in Old Town Dubrovnik. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel's quality, comfort, location and service. You must keep in mind that Croatia is still relatively new to mass tourism, so don't expect the same exact level of customer service you would receive at a hotel of the same class in the States. That said, if you want a very nice hotel in the midst of all that Old Town has to offer, and you don't mind a little noise from being located so centrally, you should definitely stay at Stari Grad. While there, consider a thai massage at their newly opened spa just across the street.

Room Tip: Ask for a lower floor room if stairs are a problem for you.

It's a very small boutique hotel centrally located in Old City of Dubrovnik. Although the hotel is very small, the rooms are still spacious for single or two occupants. The bathrooms are also very light lit with good amenities. However, this property does not have any elevators, so be prepared to walk up stairs. There is a cute roof top cafe where breakfast is served each morning with a great view of the city.
