The City Harbor is definitely one of the most bustling areas of Dubrovnik's Old Town. Even though we felt like we'd seen all there was to see, we somehow kept ending up here each day. The port is a fun place to watch boats depart and dock, drop of passengers, feel a cool breeze. It's also pretty fun, when cruise ships come in, to watch how many round-trips the boats take to drop off passengers.
If you walk along the walls, you can get out to a jetty with a few benches. It's nice and breezy and has great views of the harbor, the mountains, and the closest island. A few people were swimming in this area too, but the water looked pretty rough.
We took a boat ride from this port, which was fun and all, but nothing too exciting. It's cool to go past the walls from the outside and see the island up close. But there wasn't any narration or explanation of what we seeing. A fun activity, but it seems they just run those boats to maximize profits (understandably).
