“Short walk from our hotel”
Reviewed August 10, 2014

Walking from the Aristo along what is called the promenade you come to Lapad. Big super market there and some great bars and restaurants. View on the way is fabulous. Dinning along there at night is magical. A piece of advice about trips. There is a guy selling boat trips and everything else at the end of the water near the small beach. He operates for a company called Vivado. Use this guy he is the most up front guy. It may take about an hour dealing with him as he has a storey about everything. I cannot recommend him highly enough and no we are not related. This guy made our week. Grate trip to Montenegro through him with a top driver.

“Holiday Peninsula for all the Family”
Reviewed August 7, 2014

Lapad beach itself is pebbly and a bit crowded, but its clear, calm waters make it ideal for families with young children. There are parasols and sunloungers for hire and a number of cafes are dotted along the bay. Unfortunately for some (me included) a lot of them had music pounding which I found a bit annoying but then I'm a bit of an old fogey! There are also canoes and jetskis for hire. The jetskis have to go slowly until they are away from swimmers, which is good as it makes for safety and less noise.
The promenade which leads down to the beach is lined with cafes and restaurants. At night the place is a hive of activity and children are everywhere and made very welcome.
Lapad is a good place to stay, just a short bus ride from the old city. It has its own marina and there are supermarkets and other shops. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and we always felt safe.

“Ticks lots of boxes.......for whatever you're looking for.”
Reviewed August 6, 2014

If you're after a sophisticated and romantic holiday then Lapad can cater for this with the extraordinary scenery, classic Adriatic sunsets and seafront restaurants......

Or if you're after a quiet family holiday with young or older children then Lapad offers an array of relaxing options from the beach at Lapad bay or over the hill in Gruz harbour. The range of waterfront restaurants from fine dining to pizzas and burgers is wide and you're really spoilt for choice.

Value for money and level of service is generally excellent.

There are no loud bars and people accosting you in the street trying to tempt you in with the promise of endless 'shots' of substandard local rocket fuel or scantily clad young ladies with other temptations......no, this is a very tasteful and quite reserved spot, gentle evenings with couples and families simply enjoying their evenings and then wending their way back to bed.

Don't come if you're after Benidorn or Magaluf.....you won't find any of that here.

I will be returning....make no mistake.....thoroughly gorgeous, if only to see that sunset one more time!

“Perfect place to stay if you have kids”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

I like to stay in Lapad because it is close to a good beach, playgrounds, restaurants. It is calm at night and is fairly easy to get to the Old Town by bus.

A lovely beach, not sandy. Lots of lovely places to eat and drink. The sea is very clear. The people are very friendly. Lots of activities to keep you busy.
