“Nice relaxing place to stay”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

Lapad is a bit less expensive then Dubrovnik so you get a nicer place to stay for less money. It is not as dramatic as Dubrovnik, but everything is within walking distance and the view of the sea is wonderful. After the craziness of Dubrovnik during the day, it was kind of nice to relax on our balcony and watch the water and enjoy a glass of wine. Then it was just a five minute walk to the restaurants and shops along the water. Good music and okay food.

“A great base to visit Dubrovnik and the Elaphite Islands”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

Lapad is fairly modern with a stoney beach. The bay is attractiveand surrounded on both sides by hotels. From the beach there is a paved road with shops, bars, restaurants, follow this to the end and you will find the main road - the bus stop to catch the No. 6 bus to Dubrovnik is on your right. You can buy the tickets from the Kiosk next to the bus stop and the ride takes about 10-15 minutes to the old town. There are also many stalls and shops offering trips to the Elaphite Islands, Mostar and Montenegro - all worth a visit. Also worth a visit is the Cave Bar situated along the coastal path on the right hand side of the bay as you look at the bay. The beach area in Lapad has tourisits from all over Europe but the real town of Lapad is in easy walking distance (along the paved road) if you want to get away from the tourists.

“Beach”
Reviewed September 17, 2013

We had a lot of days in Lapad at the public beach, nice bars, few good restaurants and the sun beds were very comfy. Could not beat the swimming though in the lovely sea. Don't forget your beach shoes!

“Lapad is ok”
Reviewed September 17, 2013

We took a quick trip to Lapad to see what shops and sights were available. After about an hour or so, we'd seen all there was to see and headed back to the resort.

“Get of out the old town”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

Got the number 5 bus from Pile Gate - free with the Dubrovnik Card. Food, coffee an alcohol all cheaper then the Old Town so definately worth going for at least one lunch or dinner - plenty of choice. Get the number 6 bus back to Pile Gate. Buses run very frequently.
