“lovely walk”
Reviewed May 24, 2013

We took the local bus from Pile Gate to Dubrovnik Palace and then walked left to go up a path through trees which then led to the main path up to the top of the hill. There was shade from the sun under the trees and lots of seats on the way up. We then walked down and took the turning right into main Lapad. As we were walking down we stopped at Konobo Rasica which had lots of locals sitting there and we would definitely stop there again. We then walked down past the main Lapad bus stop and turned left through the pedestrianized zone of restaurants down to the sea and walked the right hand path by the side of the sea as far as it would go and then returned to the bus stop for our return jouney back to Pile Gate. Lovely walk!

“central location”
Reviewed May 21, 2013

We stayed at the hotel Lapad right on the harbour. It is in walking distance of Dubrovnik and local restaurants. There are lovley walks around the peninsular in woodlands and parks. There are no sandy beaches, only small stones but ok. The Cococabana beach is lovely

“Peaceful”
Reviewed May 15, 2013

We were staying in Lapad and it is quite a peaceful area. The bars didn't seem to be busy and shut early but going early May is very early in the season. The beaches aren't anything special. They have sharp shingles and no sand. The buses are really good to and from Lapad. They are about every 15 minutes and run until 12.05am. It only takes 10 minutes from Lapad to the Old Town but the buses do get very very busy.
